Hisense 50” 4K Roku TV with HDR

Over the years, I have owned many, many television sets. I remember WAY back when, when I was a child and we had to get up to change the channels on the TV – we didn’t have remotes back then! We also only had 5 channels to choose from. I didn’t know any differently then – that’s just the way it was. I ended up watching a lot of Julia Child and wrestling, as well as public television. We sure have come a long way, and it has been interesting to see the advances made in all electronics, but mostly with television sets. I thought I had seen all of the current offerings, but then I was asked to review the Hisense 50” 4K Roku TV with HDR, and I after reading about it, I was intrigued. Let me explain.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of owning a smart TV and we currently have one that we watch frequently. I thought that it was pretty “smart”, that is until I found a TV that is even smarter (and a whole lot easier). The new love of my life is none other than the Hisense 50” 4K Roku TV with HDR that I mentioned above. I have my own “girl cave” upstairs, and I decided to put this television set up there, since I spend so much time crafting and such.

My husband helped me get it out of the box and he was going to help me set it up as well. I actually didn’t need his help with this part, because it was incredibly easy to get it up and running. We didn’t need a cable box or any extras – this TV literally allows you to plug and play. There are a few settings to play with to personalize it, and that couldn’t have been any easier.

The Roku OS serves up a massive library of premium content at the touch of a button, so you can watch your favorite apps ranging from Netflix to YouTube, Hulu, HBO Go and more than 500,000 movies and TV shows across the platform. With its beautiful colors and 4K display, you’ll see incredible detail in an HDR-enhanced display that boosts contrast and the vibrancy of colors.

 

My friend raved about the tv so much that I actually gave it to her {she and her girls have been having a rough time lately – she deserved this}. She was SO excited, and it made me feel good to help. But before I gave it to her, I asked my husband if he minded. He said no, BUT only if I went and bought another one for myself.  That’s exactly what I did. When I was at the store, the associate who was helping us couldn’t rave enough about this television set {he wasn’t even trying to “sell” us on it, because we announced exactly what we wanted when we walked in}. He said that Hisense is one of the best brands out there, but many people don’t know about it yet. He mentioned that is is far superior to other popular brands out there, and that the price is much less than a similar television from a particular well known brand. He wasn’t kidding – the Hisense 50″ TV is currently only $350. It still blows my mind that I love this television far more than the ridiculously expensive huge, curved television set we bought a couple of years ago.

I love how clear the picture is – it really is beautiful and clear. Another thing I love is how easy it is to operate. Everything is right on the main screen and it is easy to find just what I am looking for.  I have SO many shows and movies to choose from, and it is mine all mine!

I cannot begin to express how incredibly happy I am with my Hisense 50” 4K Roku TV with HDR.
