Horrid Henry The Movie Review

It comes out tomorrow! Are you ready?

The film stars the illustrious Anjelica Huston (love, love, love her) and newcomer, Theo Stevenson, as the title character. On March 12, 2013, the limited edition DVD, which features a non-toxic, upholstery-friendly “slime pack” for creating Horrid Henry-style mischief, will be available exclusively at Walmart stores in the U.S.

With a run time of 93 minutes, the movie is rated PG for some silly humor, and features a rocking soundtrack including Katy Perry, The Saturdays and LMFAO’s Party Rick Anthem and will be sure to get everyone on their feet dancing!

Plot synopsis: When Henry fails yet again to hand in his homework for the umpteenth time, he inadvertently sets off an unexpected and curious chain of events. He forms an unlikely alliance with Moody Margaret, the infuriating girl next door, wins a talent contest, and stands up to his ultimate nemesis. With each antic crazier than the last, Henry finds himself inexplicably trying to save the very school which he has always professed to hate!

My older 2 girls really liked this movie a lot! Like they were glued to the television eating their popcorn not complaining glued. Henry is a very likable character. We were all entertained by his wit. He got himself into some crazy situations and that was when the giggles from my family happened.  Their favorite part of the gift pack we received?  Water balloons!  We were out until 8:00 pm last night playing “catch” with the water balloons.  Don’t get me started by the tons of fun that can be had by the hand buzzer.  Hugs, hand shakes, and just buzzing your shoulder.  Kids are awesome and these toys were so fun just like the movie!

There was fun music and lots of mayhem. The plot of the story was good for the younger crowd and pulled off by the actors very well. I watched it with no expectations but was happy that my girls liked it so much. I like movies such as this one with good clean humor. Not always proper but fun. Girls and boys alike will love this movie! Take a chance and head to Walmart to get your copy! kaboom!
