Will You Survive? Discover the Unforgettable with Jurassic World and Win!

How many of you watched the special NBC airing of the original Jurassic Park over the weekend? My family actually had the movie on repeat between the actual airing, the DVR, and our own DVD copy of the film. It has seriously been a weekend full of dinosaur mania but, boy, was it fun! Now, as much as I loved getting to relive the whole Jurassic Park experience, there was a certain little something that took this weekend’s movie watching to a whole new level… Jurassic World!

You see, during the airing of the 1993 blockbuster, THE Steven Spielberg and Chris Pratt, the star of the newest soon-to-be-blockbuster dinosaur film, joined us to personally introduce a special sneak peek of the brand new Jurassic World. If you thought that Jurassic Park was great, just wait until you see this!

Opening in theaters this Friday, June 12^th, the epic story of Mr. John Hammond’s dream continues.

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor’s interest, which backfires horribly.

And, with that, I give you the fascinating and long-awaited continuation of the Jurassic Park series.

I cannot even begin to tell you how excited we are to see this movie. It is certainly going to be one of those must-see movies and may very well be the greatest dinosaur film of the year… of the decade… and possibly the century!

One of my favorite quotes from the original film (that, now, perfectly sums up the plotline of the new movie) was as follows:

You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could and, before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you’re selling it, you wanna sell it! Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should.

One of the best things about the entirety of the Jurassic Park series is that the storyline truly is plausible. Now, I’m sure that any seasoned scientist would fight me on that but, for the majority of people, the thought that modern day scientists could somehow conjure up the technology and the process to bring back some of the world’s most amazing creatures is a tad bit believable. Even if it is a farfetched scenario, just what if…

Thankfully, with great minds and talents such as Steven Spielberg, Chris Pratt, Michael Crichton, Colin Trevorrow, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Bryce Dallas Howard among others, we no longer have to wonder “what if.” Jurassic World shows us exactly that and then some.
