Krinkles Online Holiday Ornaments Review

“Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree!”

It is one of the most well-known and classic holiday songs, not to mention that it is so much fun to sing. The Twelve Days of Christmas is one of the very first Christmas songs that my kids learned to sing simply because screaming “five golden rings” at the top of one’s lungs is, apparently, quite hilarious.

Now, as a parent of young children and a feline that is fond of destruction, most of my holiday décor consists of ugly plastic ornaments to help prevent any breakage or boo boos. We have very few “adult decorations” that get to grace the top of our tree so I was, of course, thrilled to learn about the new mini line of Krinkle’s Ornaments by Patience Brewster. Not only are they tiny enough to fit nicely atop our tree but they do so dazzlingly.

Brewster, a world-renowned artist, has gained much popularity in recent years due to these coveted, collectible, and darling little ornaments. For 2012, Patience has released a “Mini” line to accompany the already loved Krinkles collection. The line includes a miniature collection of the popular 12 Days and Dash Away pieces. As much as we enjoy Rudolph and his crew, I could not pass up the opportunity to bring in a secondary holiday classic. Christmastime seems to become a bit overbearing with the usual Santa Claus, snowmen and reindeer so the need for some fresh air, so to speak, was well overdue.

Patience Brewster and Krinkles Ornaments are, most certainly, that breath of fresh air. Not only is the entire line beyond adorable but it is just as unique as you and I are. Every single ornament is both, handmade and hand painted. That in itself brings along the holiday spirit because each piece is designed just for you. While the elves and reindeer were hard to pass up, we chose to review the three that meant the most to us:

This year, Krinkles has also introduced their Glass Blown Ornaments and Patience has even granted us access into the making of the pieces. The glass blown pieces do come with a hefty price tag but, as someone who has witnessed and attempted glass blowing, they are definitely worth every penny. Glass blowing is a very tedious art form but the results are beyond amazing and simply stunning.

I am thrilled to have the Patience Brewster Krinkles Ornaments make an appearance on our Christmas tree this year and I definitely look forward to being able to add to the collection as the years come. The Twelve Days of Christmas has always been a favorite of ours and I am happy to have Krinkles join and better the celebration.

  1. I’ve always been a fan of mercury glass ornaments and I love their mercury glass collection, especially the 2012 Krinkles Red Candle Light Santa Glass Ornament.

  68. These Krinkles are so magical, quirky and smile producing. My first 2 choices would be theDash Away Dancer on pointe and with the Tutu and the 2011 Buffy Cat ornament. I love Ms. Brewster’s view of the world.
