LifeLock IDENTITY THEFT PROTECTION
“If someone stole my identity, they could only improve my credit.”
Hahaha Very funny, right? That’s always been my standard line when talking about protecting my identity but, you know what, it’s not funny. It has taken me 37 years to create my identity and, good bad or indifferent, I don’t want anyone out there pretending to be me. That’s why I was happy when I got the chance to try LifeLock Identity Theft Protection Service.

From the LifeLock website:
At LifeLock, we help protect you against more than just credit fraud, we alert you whenever we detect your personal information being used to apply for wireless services, retail credit, utilities, check orders/reorders, mortgage loans within our extensive network. If you become a victim of identity theft while you are a LifeLock member because of some failure or defect in our service, we will spend up to $1 million to hire experts, lawyers, investigators, consultants and whoever else it takes to help your recovery.
With your LifeLock membership you get:
- LifeLock Identity Alert™ System ~ An extensive network of some of the largest credit grantors and service providers in the nation. The system detects if your personal information is used to apply for many forms of credit and non~credit accounts.
- eRecon™ ~ Patrols more than 10,000 criminal websites for the illegal selling of your personal information.
- TrueAddress™ ~ Monitors your mailing address on file and notifies you if there is a change of address request.
- WalletLock™ ~ Helps you cancel or replace the contents of a lost or stolen wallet (pictures, cash and other monies excluded).
- Reduced Credit Offers ~ Requests your name be removed from these mailing lists.
- Free Annual Credit Report ~ We order your free annual credit reports from each of the credit reporting agencies so you can check for discrepancies or potential programs.
- $1 Million Total Service Guarantee ~ As a LifeLock member, if you become a victim of identity theft because of a failure in LifeLock® service, we’ll help you fix it at our expense, up to $1,000,000. (Restrictions apply. See Lifelock.com for details).
- 24~Hour Member Service ~ Need help? Have questions? We’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call us at 1~800~LIFELOCK (543~3562).
There is a really handy tool on the LifeLock website – you can find out what identity thieves have been up to in your area. Make sure you check it out!
Signing up for LifeLock is easy, all you have to do is go to the LifeLock website, fill out the requested information and ~ bingo bango ~ you’re protected. Seriously, it takes less than 10 minutes to protect your identity. And if you do need to talk to customer service rep, they’re awesome. Shout out to Ross! I now feel much safer knowing that LifeLock is keeping an eye out for suspicious activity under my name!

I never have been a victim of it (thank God) but I can’t say I do much to protect myself other than keep an eye on my credit card statements and credit report.

I have not been a victim but I do worry about it. I check my credit once a year w/the free credit report and just keep up on my checking andother accts to make sure nothing funny is going on
someone tried to use my debit card numbers to charge their $500 cable bill to my account., the bank let me know right away because they said addresses didn’t match up, so I was saved!!

Never been a victim and honestly I don’t do much more than shredding our trash. I’d like to win because its about time I got serious about safeguarding my identity and credit (thanks a lot Sony. Jerks.)
I have never been the victim of identity theft, but I should do more to protect myself!
Thanks for the review and chance to win. I haven’t been a victim and hopefully this will keep it that way–things are getting scarier

I shred anything with personal information on it, along with the “code” used for my address on email. Recently received a notice from my bank that my information might have been compromised. Currently checking into further protection.
I shred everything, carefully cover my pin # when I use it, have coverage on my computer.
Thank you.
Have a fabulous day
I’m now notified of any activity on accounts especially if strange or exceptional in cost. price charged. Thanks SW
I would love to win the lifelock-identity-theft-protection-one-year-subscription.
Last fall I was a victim and the credit card called me and said my credit card was used in France!!!
