Melvita Rose Floral Water

I was introduced to Melvita only today, but I have a feeling it will quickly become one of my new favorite companies. I am a firm believer in using organic cosmetics and skin care products. I shudder to think of the damage that is being done to my skin using cosmetics that are full to the brim with chemicals.

MELVITA is a pioneer in organic cosmetics and has grown to become one of France’s leading brands of natural and organic cosmetics. Resolutely organic. Because we are convinced that the organic commitment is one of the keys to the future of the planet.

Melvita’s Philosophy:

Our products meet the strict natural and organic cosmetics criteria of ECOCERT, earning the ECOCERT certification and use of the Cosmébio label.
■ We favour the use of the finest ingredients from organically farmed and responsibly harvested sources, with respect of nature being our priority.
■ We protest against the pointlessness and cruelty of tests on animals.
■ We ensure that our packaging materials are completely recyclable.
■ We are involved in a pro-active approach to sustainable development, with preservation of environmental: beauty, biodiversity, and balance.
■ We make every effort to promote ethical, humane, and fair-trade partnerships.
■ Pleasure, effectiveness and attractiveness are central to our cosmetic requirements.

Argan oil
What is Argan Oil?

Indigionous to the Moroccan forest, the Argan tree kernals have been harvested for centuries for their many “miraculous” benefits. Rich in vitamin E and Omega 6s this oil is ideal in protecting skin and hair from premature aging, UV exposure, and other environmental factors. A true regenerator, Argan oil is often used as a moisturizer for dry skin and as a smoother in damaged hair. A real ‘beauty secret’ for Berber women, the oil is made from un-roasted argan kernels; it is also traditionally used for massaging joints and for nail and hair care.

Fair Trade:
Oil is cold-pressed extracted from raw hand-crushed kernals. Processing is done through an Aunarha women’s co-operative in Essaouira. Melvita complies with all ethical criteria for fair trade: fair prices when purchasing raw materials, preservation of biodeversity in the environment, as well as responsible farming.

Melvita guarantee: First cold-pressed organic oil, colorant and preservative-free.

Usage: Apply on face or body, massage gently to penetrate the skin.

Melvita Tip: Apply on irritated areas to soothe the burning sensation.

Melvita Rose Water

Rose Floral Water:
Melvita’s Rose Floral Water is extracted by distillation of organic rosa damascena petals and naturally rich in active principles, rose water is often recommended for delicate skin.

Astringent, it helps regulate sebum secretion and tends to prevent the appearance of wrinkles and lines.
Usage: Soak into a cotton ball and apply to the face morning and evening to tone the complexion. No need to rinse
Melvita Beauty Tip: Deeply moisturizes and lightly perfumes the skin. An ideal care after a sun exposure.

In addition to the products mentioned above, Melvita carries items for men and children too. I love having so many choices in organic products for my kids.  These soaps are just darling, I couldn’t resist sharing them with you!
