I am a big tea drinker. It is great any time of year – iced tea during the warm months and hot tea during the cold months. I usually only drink the plain old black tea (sweetened of course), but lately I have been getting into different flavors of tea.
That is why I was so happy to try out some different teas from
Mighty Leaf Tea. I received the Mighty Leaf Holiday Collection Tea Chest, with thirty tea pouches in six flavors – Bombay Chai, Chamomile Citrus, Green Tea Tropical, Organic Earl Grey, Vanilla Bean, and Chocolate Mint Truffle. I also received two of the Mighty Leaf Tea Top Brew Mugs.
I tried all of the different flavors of tea included in the Holiday Collection Tea Chest, and all I can say is wow! They are all full of flavor and so delicious. My favorite by far was the Chamomile Citrus, although I really enjoyed the other flavors as well. All of the tea pouches are handstiched, and you can see the whole tea leaves and ingredients inside. Each tea pouch comes with a description of the flavor, and it also tells whether it is caffeine-free, lightly caffeinated, or more caffeinated. It helped me when deciding which flavor to try in the morning or at night.
I used the Mighty Leaf Tea Top Brew Mug, which is designed to properly steep your tea. All you have to do is pour in hot water and add the tea pouch, threading it through the mug’s lid. Each tea pouch states how long the tea should steep. After that time, you just pull the string on the tea pouch to wring it out and pull it up into the lid. You can leave the tea pouch in the lid while you enjoy your tea, although I always took mine out since I always took the lid off so I could add a little sugar to my tea. The mug is also great for taking along in the car. I made some tea to bring on my Saturday morning grocery store run. It was still warm in the mug after I got out of the store 45 minutes later!
