Minute Maid “When Oranges Attack” Game – Fun stuff!

 When Oranges Attack! Game

I love an entertaining game as much as the next guy. Errr girl. I am kind of particular though, and quickly lose interest if it doesn’t immediately catch my attention.

I was asked to play* the Minute Maid® Pure Squeezed game, “When Oranges Attack!”, and I have to say that it is quite fun. A little frustrating at times, but entertaining nonetheless!

The premise of the game is there is this orange, named, well, Orange. Orange is not happy because Minute Maid Pure Squeezed orange juice tastes so much like a fresh, ripe orange. So Orange and his angry friends are trying to keep America’s favorite family man from drinking Minute Maid Pure Squeezed orange juice.

When you play the interactive “When Oranges Attack!” game, you can help prevent the family man from drinking Minute Maid Pure Squeezed orange juice.

[pullquote]“When Oranges Attack!” is a contraption game where upset Oranges need your help to set up elaborate Rube Goldberg-like contraptions and prevent America’s favorite family man – the game’s main character – from sipping Minute Maid Pure Squeezed orange juice.[/pullquote]

There are five regular levels plus a bonus level, which you can unlock by entering one of five Minute Maid Pure Squeezed UPC codes. You have to complete/pass each level before you can move on to the next (and to be able to play the fun mini games between levels!).

Here is a rundown of the levels (these names crack me up):

Level 1 – “Lights, Camera, Contraption”
Level 2 – “Juiceston, We Have a Problem”
Level 3 – “Orangeslinger”
Level 4 – “It Came From the Grove”
Level 5 – “YoHoHo and a Bottle of Juice”
Level 6 – Bonus Level – “Orangealot”

And if you are wondering just how a level is played, here is an example (Level 1 – “Lights, Camera, Contraption”):

You will have two minutes to complete the level and once the game starts, the timer won’t stop.

To build your contraption, drag items from the bar at the bottom into the scene. It took a little while for me to get this part – you have to drag them into the colored “bubbles” that will appear when you hover over that spot on the game, otherwise your items won’t “stick”.

Press the play button to set your contraption in motion and activate the pulsing objects. Make sure you look for the pulsing/blinking objects!

As you go, you can add more sandbags to the pulley which will make it fall faster, which in turn will launch the orange farther. This takes a bit of practice! You can also fine-tune your landing with the director’s megaphone.

You will be awarded points at the end of each round and you can earn extra points when you share your score, the game or the game video. Make sure you compete with your Facebook friends and see who can achieve the highest score! I always love a little friendly competition, don’t you? Don’t worry, if you get stuck, you can watch the hints at the beginning of each level.

  1. Sounds like a game my husband and I would play to see who can get through the levels faster and with the most points

  2. Sounds like kind of a harder game, most of these type of games end up being silly and boring, but this one sounds like a challenge.

  3. This game looks like a lot of fun, and I will have to get in on it and play it with my son. I think my sister would also love to try it because we like playing games.

  4. I’m not a gamer at all. Maybe that’s why the rare occasion I do play I stink. I leave the games for the kids. They can’t get enough of gaming. However I do like Minute Maid so it’s a win win because I buy Minute Maid give them the code, I’m happy because they are drinking healthy and they are happy because they get to unlock a level and play games.

  5. I will have to show this to my husband…he love these types of games. Me on the other hand…I hate timed things…they make me anxious!! lol

  6. I spend way too much time on games like these. I’m not very competitive, but I am work-avoidant, so it’s too easy to get roped into playing for hours at a go.
