So, let me start by saying that we’re already Motorola baby monitor lovers in this house. We received a Motorola video baby monitor as a gift when we had our second daughter and we loved it. It held up well, as our Motorola products do, and was still in great condition several years later right before we moved here… but then I lost it. So the minute the opportunity came up to review the Motorola MBP36S Baby Monitor, I was all over it!
The Motorola MBP36S Baby Monitor is a video monitor with a high sensitivity microphone with a wireless receiver for parents to be able to roam around the house and still know that their little one(s) are safe and sound. It has a room temperature display which is especially great if, like me, you have a separate air conditioner in your room and you want to make sure that your child isn’t burning up while you enjoy the cool comfort. I obsess over whether the kids are too hot or too cold, it’s actually a little ridiculous. There have been times where I’ve turned to my husband when he’s just about to completely doze off, and said, “Do you think she’s too cold? Should I go get her a blanket?” and then repeat the same question ten minutes later. Yes, that really happens. Not now, thanks to our Motorola MBP36S Baby Monitor.
We also don’t limit our video monitor usage to babies. The Motorola MBP36S Baby Monitor is going to be beneficial for our older kids too. Since a couple of our children have shared rooms, they like to get up and play when they are supposed to be tucked into bed and sleeping. This is where the two-way communication feature works very well for us. We can press the button and ask, “What are you doing out of bed?” Occasionally, we’ll hear a tiny request for water in reply and we’ll take care of it, but usually they jump right back in bed when they realize we’re watching!
Our little man is just over a year and finally slowly transitioning from our room into his toddler bed now (months after we tried the first time!) and the Motorola MBP36S Baby Monitor has been a big help! We play him one of five different lullabies to help lull him to sleep and actually see him snoozing with the infrared night vision and clear picture. I also love how I can zoom in from my device if I need to. A really enticing feature for a mom of many, like myself, is the way that you can purchase and add multiple cameras and set it to scan through them or to do a split-screen. We’ve got three bedrooms and four kids, three of whom are sometimes found coloring instead of sleeping and another that might wake up crying and looking for us!
We really like the Motorola MBP36S Baby Monitor and would highly recommend it as such an affordable, yet quality video monitor for your children, no matter what their ages!
You can purchase the Motorola MBP36S Baby Monitor for approximately $179.99 Amazon, Target, Wal-Mart, and Home Depot.
