Let me start out by saying that yesterday my daughter brought down a huge hamper of clothes and said her gym shorts and t-shirt needed to be washed and that they were at the bottom of the basket. I threw her gym clothes (black shorts and grey shirt) in the wash along with some of her other clothes.
This morning she wakes up late, comes downstairs and fishes through the dryer for her gym clothes. She cannot find them of course and enlists my help (after all – moms always know where things are, right?). I find her black gym shorts, and I pull out a grey shirt. But it isn’t her grey gym shirt – it is her t-shirt for Sea Scouts.
She insists that her gym shirt was in the laundry…and I look again. Nothing. I put her black gym shorts and her Sea Scouts on the back of the couch, and she grabs her shorts and heads upstairs. Her grey shirt fell on the floor. The cats are meowing at me, as they want their breakfast, and I am scrambling to get everyone fed.
I was finally able to grab a cup of coffee *yawn* when I hear the dreaded hacking sound of a cat getting sick. I look over to see our cat heading straight to her grey shirt and he puked right on it! Then he headed in the kitchen and did it some more. Really? I cleaned the kitchen floor, then rinsed her shirt and back in the wash it went. And I wonder why I am constantly doing laundry. I am just now sitting down with my coffee…sigh.
So yeah, this was my morning so far. Let’s hope it gets better. Perhaps I should skip the coffee and have a Bloody Mary instead. How is your Monday going?

Ok, what? That is not a fun way to start a Monday at all! Time to press rewind and get a redo!
Seriously! I was not a happy camper…especially before coffee.
I quit doing my kids laundry a long time ago…now when they loose something or it doesn’t get washed, it’s NOT my fault…lol
My Monday is going super duper ‘so far’!!!!
I know…mine need to do their own too. I just know that they will leave stuff in there and I’ll never get my own done. But I definitely need to start them doing it! I’m glad you had a good Monday!
Oh goodness, of course this would happen on a Monday. I don’t have kids but I remember mornings like this with my mom prior to school and then I got to high school and did my own laundry-which was probably better in the end. Hope your morning got better.
