My #PeetsCoffee Switch experience!

Peet’s Coffee Switch

Anybody who knows me, knows that I love coffee. I could probably save myself the time of making it, by just having an IV drip going straight to the arm. The problem with that would be that I would miss out on the flavor of coffee. Truth be told, some coffees might be better that way, but for a quality coffee – yeah, I want to taste it.

As part of the Peet’s Coffee Switch, I went shopping at Target to find Peet’s Coffee, as well as pick one to try for myself…and switch it with my regular coffee. Fun, right? I always have fun shopping at Target, but this was for something special, and I really enjoyed it. I strolled around until I found the coffee aisle (in our brand spankin’ new grocery section!).  The coffee aisle was full of different types of coffee, but I was only interested in one.

On the end of the aisle, I found a display with only Peet’s Coffee.  There were quite a few to choose from, but for this “switch”, I needed to buy either Peet’s Cafe Domino, or Peet’s Cafe Solano Medium roast.

I chose the Peet’s Cafe Solano Medium Roast coffee.  After shopping a bit more, I headed home to get started on my taste testing.  I opened the coffee pouch and took a big whiff. Mmmm it smelled heavenly – just as I would expect from Peet’s.  I have only had their coffee in-store before, if you can believe that, so this was really fun for me.

I brewed a cup, added some cream and sugar.  I put a few Autumn cookies on a plate and headed outside to enjoy them both in the beautiful weather.  I was looking forward to my first sip, and it was just as good as I had imagined.  I usually drink bold coffee, so a medium roast is definitely a switch.  I feared that it might taste “weak”, but I was thrilled to discover that it was full-bodied, and very rich…just how I like my coffee.  And it tasted fresh.  Not because I just made a cup, but the coffee itself was fresh.

I sat outside for quite awhile, enjoying the peace and quiet, and savoring each sip of my Peet’s coffee.  My regular coffee doesn’t hold a candle to Peet’s and this is a big switch for me.  I am anxious to try Peet’s Cafe Domingo too – it is currently on my list for the next time I go shopping!

    1. Lots of practice! I add things and leave room for things that might need to be added in later. Sometimes I do it by the arrangement of my store too. It works great until one of my kids writes something on the list and screws up my whole system 🙂

  1. My husband is a “bold” drinker, too, and I was worried how he’d like the Peet’s medium roast… like you said, it wasn’t weak at all and he enjoyed it! Sounds like you had some wonderful “me” time with your cookies and Peet’s!
