Sometimes it’s nice to have a little push when it comes to taking control of your health. That is true for me at least, and that’s why it is nice to find an app like Optimity!
Optimity – that app that rewards you for good choices!
I have always loved earning and “winning” things for my hard work. I consider it a challenge when I’m put to the test. With Optimity you can challenge friends and family (in a friendly way of course). This is also a great way to get the support you need and encourage each other.
Why I find Optimity to be so appealing:
~ Earning points for sensible things we should be doing every day anyway – like drinking water!
~ Getting rewarded for QUICK, simple, “micro-activities”. These include stretches, exercises and meditation. These all help with overall health, even though they don’t take long to do. I’ll be honest, I have a short attention span. I am always ready to move onto the next thing, so this is perfect for me. I also struggle staying on a fitness routine when I don’t have a plan, and reminders. When you add an incentive along with these, it really helps me stay on target!
~ The points earned can be redeemed for some awesome gift cards at places like Starbucks (yum!), Whole Foods, and even for travel points. You also get discounts from various health and health tech merchants.
~ It has recipes and other help for healthy eating habits. I love this – sometimes it is hard to come up with the right food choices, and this is certainly helpful!
When first starting, users can customize by activity packs and mini-courses that are of interest to them. The app sends notifications to remind them to take a moment to do each activity. Neat, right?
Track your steps!
If you like to track your steps and activity, Optimity syncs with Fitbit, Apple Watch, and the like.
What’s REALLY neat is that Optimity has so many other awesome resources too – it’s kind of an all-in-one app for your life. It can help with financial and mental health as well.
COMING SOON to Optimity!
The COVID-19 resource pack! (with both education & physical activities) This is such a fantastic idea. It will be available in the next week and will contain both physical & education activities!
Are you ready to try Optimity and get rewarded for your good choices? I’ll bet you are! You won’t be able to get it on the app store, but I have an invitation for Eighty MPH Mom readers!
