The Oribel PortaPlay Convertible Activity Center Grows with Your Family

Disclosure review

With baby number five on the way, I know a few things about great baby gear. Every child is different and every mommy has her own preferences too. There are swings, play mats, bouncers, activity centers, and so much more. Then you have the variation on each individual item that makes one better than another. How much fun is it? Is it visually stimulating? Is there an educational value? How versatile is it? Will it hold up through many years and/or children? These are all of the things I need to consider when choosing baby items for our family. We were all very pleased with the answers to these questions after playing with the Oribel PortaPlay Convertible Activity Center!

The Oribel PortaPlay Convertible Activity Center is an activity center for babies ages 5-12 months and it easily transitions into a play table for up to 5 years! The activity center is full of toys that encourage motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and just fun in general! Your baby sits in a comfy seat in the middle of the table and all around him/her are toys with skill-building and other properties!

The chewy blossom is FDA approve and food grade plastic perfect for playing and teething. Winding vines develop hand-eye coordination and dexterity while your baby guides the little leave along the vines and drags the ladybug up and down the tree. Your baby can push down a lever to pop up Mr. Squirrel up and down, plus is has a squeaky mirror button too! The owl’s body spins in multiple places and is filled with multi-colored beads which is good for developing gross motor skills. The mirror book strengthens the baby’s grasp, fine motor skills, and self-awareness. There truly is no shortage of entertaining activities for your baby on the Oribel PortaPlay Convertible Activity Center.

Now, when your wee one grows older and can’t sit comfortably in the seat anymore (likely around 12 months), the Oribel PortaPlay Convertible Activity center still accommodates them! It comes with a round wooden piece that can go in place of the chair, and then your child can still roam around the outside and play with their toys. Once your child seems to have outgrown the toys on the the activity center (and I can’t tell you when that might be because all of my kids were getting a kick out of them!), you can remove the toys and replace them with covers to create…a table! Even the table itself has many uses. Your preschooler can color in her coloring books on it. Your kindergartener can do his homework on it. You can use it as the snack table and cover it with tasty treats and goodies at your child’s birthday party!

Storage space is limited in this house so I was thrilled to see that the Oribel PortaPlay Convertible Activity Center folds up so much smaller than anything we’ve had in the past. It folds up really easily, too. A simple pinch of two buttons on the side and fold in the legs!

Also in comparison with similar products, the toys are so much more fun! The entire activity center seems so sturdy and I absolutely believe it could make it through years and years of my children. It wipes off easily with water, mild soap, and a sponge, which I already had to use because the kids accidentally colored on parts of it and it cleaned off good as new! The seat for the baby’s activity center comes off to be thrown into the washing machine and anyone with a child knows that this is really beneficial if maybe Baby’s diaper couldn’t contain a situation, if you catch my drift. I also love the colors and since we aren’t finding out the sex of our baby, the fact that it’s totally gender neutral!

  1. Versatility is a wonderful thing. Something that is more than just one thing is great when you have a small space and a limited budget.

  2. I love that it can grow with your child! As a mom who lives in an apartment, this is also a great space saver! It could be used as a table and a play station is great!

  3. I love that once they can stand it turns into a play table, how fun! This would be great for my 5 month old.

  4. I like that it can be used with the playthings and without and also without the seat, too. It looks like a very handy item to have around.

  5. I love that it grows with your family. I hate how quickly some things are outgrown – it always seems like a waste of money when that happens.

  6. I like that after the baby stage it converts to a table for toddlers, etc. And that it folds flat for storage!

  7. I love that its gender neutral so it can be kept and passed down to the next baby. I also love that it converts so a toddler can use it!

  8. I love that companies have wised up and are offering more convertible items like this play area. Babies grow up so fast and if you tried to buy everything and switch it out as they grow, you go broke!

  9. I love that it grows with your child. There is no better toy than one that can last longer than a couple of months.

  10. I like that it folds flat for compact storage. We don’t have a ton of space, so that is really a cool feature.

  11. What appeals to me most is that it’s portable and breaks down easy. So no having to lug a big round thing outside.
