Peppa Pig’s Big Splash is Great Fun for the Whole Family!!!

Disclosure review
A couple weeks ago, I gave the readers here at Eighty MPH Mom a special sneak peek of a brand-new Peppa Pig live show – Peppa Pig’s Big Splash!  This is the first Peppa Pig live show here in the United States and it is hitting over ninety cities around the country.  This past weekend, my family had the opportunity to see Peppa Pig’s Big Splash in Fort Collins, Colorado.

We were looking forward to Peppa Pig’s Big Splash after reading about it:

In Peppa Pig’s Big Splash, the nursery roof is leaking and Peppa and her friends need to fix it quickly.  They set up a fair to raise money so Mr. Bull can do the repairs.  There’s plenty of fun to be had as Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig, along with Danny Dog, Pedro Pony and Suzy Sheep work together to organize an exciting day out complete with a Champion Puddle Jumping competition judged by Mr. Potato, where everyone gets wet!  An interactive experience full of singing, dancing, games, and muddy puddles, Peppa Pig’s Big Splash is a guaranteed blast for preschoolers and their parents alike!

However, as we found out, the show is so much more than that!

We could feel the excitement in the air the second we walked into the theater building, with all the children running around in their Peppa Pig shirts and carrying their Peppa Pig stuffed toys.  The excitement grew when we were let into the theater itself and found our seats.  There was fun music playing in the background and children laughing and bouncing in their seats.  My girls could not wait for the show to start, and I had to count down the minutes for them.  We knew we were in for a great show as the cheering started when the music changed, the lights went down, and the curtain opened!

Peppa Pig’s Big Splash starts with a new character, Daisy, who is playing hide-and-seek with her friends – George Pig, Danny Dog, Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep, and of course, Peppa Pig.  Daisy needs the audience’s help in finding everyone so we can meet her friends.  After that, the characters engage in a lot of activities and singing, and we meet more characters like Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Mr. Bull, and Mr. Potato!  When the group discovers that the school roof is leaking, they plan a fair to raise money, with lots of fun booths, games, and even a puddle jumping competition.  The show is very interactive and the audience is involved in the singing (including the “Bing Bong Song”), dancing, and of course, puddle jumping to help Peppa beat Daddy Pig’s world record puddle jump (with her golden boots)!   The show is about an hour long, with a fifteen-minute intermission halfway through, so it is not too short and not too long (especially for the young ones).

Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take any pictures during the show, but I am not sure whether I would have been able to anyways as I was really into the show.  I would have loved to capture the look on my girls’ faces though; the huge smiles they had were one of the best parts of the whole experience.  Even my husband was really into the show, clapping and singing along with everyone else.

We got the Peppa Pig Party Pass tickets, so the fun continued after the show at the after-party!  We got to meet and take a professional picture with Daisy, Peppa, and George.  Daisy was sure to find out all the children’s names and talk to them about how they liked the show.  The girls were speechless when they got the chance to stand by Peppa and George, and they had fun running around the room, playing with balloons, coloring in their new Peppa Pig books, and enjoying cookies and lemonade.  We even got our own Mr. Dinosaur to bring home.  Overall, I would have to say that our experience at Peppa Pig’s Big Splash was one of the best ones that we have ever had as a family!  The girls could not wait to come home and tell everyone what they saw and did!

There are still more opportunities to catch Peppa Pig’s Big Splash – find dates/locations of the remaining shows and order tickets online.  The Peppa Pig Party Pass tickets cost more than general tickets, but include a premium seat in the first fifteen rows of the venue, a party gift, and exclusive access to the after-party.  Either way, your family is sure to have a fun time at Peppa Pig’s Big Splash!
