Get “Stuck on Fun” with PomTree Activity Kits!

It can be hard keeping a three year-old entertained.  Sometimes she finds something to do herself and is perfectly content.  Other times she is bored out of her mind and constantly bugging me, her dad, or her little sister.  Luckily, I have found some new craft products that we can do together.  Spending time with my little girl and keeping her entertained – what could be better than that???

PomTree makes several different kinds of activity kits for children.  The PomTree motto is “Stuck on Fun” because their items contain a sticky backing that allow children to easily put them together without any messy glue or sewing.  We received the Felt Puppy & Bone Pillow Puff™ Kit, Mommy & Baby Owl Pom Pals Kit, and Pom Jewelry Kit.

We first got out the Felt Puppy & Bone Pillow Puff™ Kit.  This kit came with the two pieces of the puppy, stuffing for the inside, eyes, ears, tail, collar, colorful pieces to stick on, the materials for the bone, and instructions.  The pieces are really sticky, so this kit requires more adult supervision to make sure the pieces are lined up correctly before being stuck together.  My daughter loves her new puppy and giving him the bone.

My daughter was excited to work on the Mommy & Baby Owl Pom Pals Kit.  This kit came with the mommy and baby owls, eyes, wings, feet, beaks, and instructions.  This was easier for my daughter to put together than the puppy, because all she had to do was stick the pieces on the mommy and baby owl bodies.  I did help pull the paper backing off of the sticky pieces and get them situated in place for her to stick on.

Last, but not least, we tried out the Pom Jewelry Kit.  This was the one that I enjoyed the most, because there were so many different things to make!  The kit comes with over 400 pieces – beads, poms, felt and foam shapes, rings, string, and even keychain hooks.  We made all sorts of bracelets, rings, and keychains.  We didn’t even use half of the materials either, so we can make more jewelry later.  My daughter wants to add a special piece of jewelry to all of her cousins’ Christmas presents too!
