Protect-A-Bed Sheets Provide Everyone With a Good Night’s Sleep

We just shipped our daughter off to college last week and as I was stripping her bed here at home to get it ready for some upcoming guests, I realized it has been 8 years since we last bought linens for her bed.  It was time for something new, especially since she was 14 when we purchased them and they are a bright lemon-lime color.  Plus quality sheets weren’t really on my mind or in the budget back then. Since she is an adult now and also since it’s our guest room when she’s off at school, an upgrade of bed sheets was necessary.   So it was ideal that we were able to receive a set of Protect-A-Bed Sheets for her queen size bed.

Protect-A-Bed Sheets
Protect-A-Bed Crisp Sheets are made with Tencel® Lyocell fabric.  Tencel® Fiber is derived from wood, a renewable resource and farmed from responsibly managed forests across the world.  Due to its botanic nature, there are numerous natural benefits gained from sleeping with Tencel® products.

One of the biggest issues we have here in Texas is keeping the house cool enough at night without having an astronomical electric bill because of the air conditioning.  Sometimes that means it’s warmer than we’d actually like it to be and we sweat some 😉  A couple of the benefits of Protect-A-Bed sheets are that they are Temperature Regulating and Moisture Wicking. The advanced fiber technology inhibits bacteria growth while keeping you cool and dry.  Just what we need!

They are also Hypoallergenic and the all-natural fibers create a soothing sleep environment.  That’s also important to me since we’ll have guests sleeping on them as well.  Those with allergies and sensitive skin will get a good night’s rest with these sheets on the bed.

Bed sheets, pillows, and mattress covers are things that I know fall into what I call the “you get what you pay for” category.  Protect-A-Bed Sheets have a bit of a higher price tag but they are premium quality, and you can tell.  They are incredibly soft (if you’ve never felt Tencel® before it has a similar feel to a soft rayon fabric).

The fitted sheet fits the 10″ mattress without a struggle, but also is not ‘too’ roomy for the mattress.  The pillow cases in the queen size set are for queen size pillows (which isn’t always a given in a queen size sheet set), and they are an envelope enclosure design which means your pillow doesn’t stick out 🙂  You’ll have a lot of extra room in the pillow case if you just use standard sized pillows on your bed.  We just have regular sized pillows on that bed, so I just folded the excess fabric underneath the pillow.

One thing I found is that the top finished hem on the flat sheet and the pillow case edges got quite wrinkly after washing and drying.

I’m not a fan of ironing especially sheets, so I just made the bed after removing the sheets from the dryer wrinkles and all.  Any wrinkles on the fitted sheet will come out quickly once you put it on the mattress.  And if you make the bed taut, likewise for the length of the flat sheet.  The sheets are so comfortable and promote a healthier sleep environment than others though, so I feel the wrinkles are a minor inconvenience and trade off to have.  I’ll also note that we have had plenty of other sheet sets in the past that do the same thing on the top sheet hem and pillowcase edges, both cheap and expensive ones.

Protect-A-Bed makes a wide array of unique mattresses, pillows and sheets, as well as premium covers and protectors designed to complement the mattresses and pillows people already own.  Through Protect-A-Bed’s innovative approach to fabrics and padding materials, common sleep inhibitors like dust mites, bed bugs, overheating, sweating, neck pain, bedwetting, and allergens can be a thing of the past.

The Protect-A-Bed Crisp Hypoallergenic Tencel® Sheet Sets come with both the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval and a 1 Year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in workmanship and material.  Both of which show the confidence consumers and the company has in their product.

James Bell, CEO of Protect-A-Bed has got it right: “Why not give your family members gifts that will improve their quality of life? Everyone knows that better sleep enhances happiness, productivity, and overall well-being. Protect-A-Bed products are designed to combat the very things keeping us up at night.”  – The holidays are coming up quickly and Protect-A-Bed products are great to have for visiting overnight guests and for gifts.  Think bridal showers and housewarming presents especially, but they are also good for gifting to college students who are off at school to protect their beds and get a comfy night sleep, as well as for the senior citizens who have everything!

You can purchase Protect-A-Bed products on the Protect-A-Bed Website.

  1. I am going to have to do some checking on these sheets……. Temperature Regulating and Moisture Wicking

Both my mother and sister have hot flashes so these sheets would be perfect for them.

  2. I have never heard of Tencel® Lyocell fabric but I like that it regulates temperature. I hate waking up to sweaty sheets.

  3. These are very nice sheets! I like that these sheets help regulate temperature. These would make a great Holiday gift!
