Republic Wireless Google Chromecast

If there is one thing my husband is always complaining about, it’s our cell phone bill. To be fair, it is pricey. Little did I know there are options available for folks who are fed up with their cell phone bill. Republic Wireless is a smartphone service that’s passionate about providing great value, offering plans as low as $5/month.

$5 a month! Crazy!

Moto X
Take the Moto X phone, it’s $299, available in black and white with 16gb. It’s truly technology. The Moto X responds to your voice, there’s not touching necessary. For instance, twist your wrist twice, it becomes your camera, and gets the shots you’d otherwise miss.  Plus, it’s the first smartphone ever to be designed and assembled in the USA. That my friends, is pretty smart!

Republic Wireless
So, how do they do it?  Well, there is plenty of WiFi out there. Republic Wireless made a smartphone smarter by engineering it to work natively on WiFi and they’ve partnered with a nationwide cellular carrier for backup coverage.

With that you get the following:

I don’t know about you, but Republic Wireless definiely something our family is going to look into.  It would be silly not too!

Chromecast

Since we’re going there with saving you some dough, check out Chromecast.  It’s a whole new way to TV!  Chromecast is a thumb-sized media streaming device that plugs into the HDMI port on your TV.  Using an Android phone, tablet, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows laptop, or Chromebook to cast your favorite entertainment and apps right to the big screen.

Mind.  Blown.

At $35, it makes your phone your own personalized remote control. So you can use the apps that you know and love (hello, Facebook, Instagram, Netflix and Pandora!) to do everything a remote does.  Search and browse, play, pause, rewind, control the volume and even make playlists. Best of all, your phone is then free for other things.  Pretty nifty!

Now, it’s your turn!  Enter below for a chance to win a Chromecast.

  1. I like that they there are no hidden fees and everything is explained clearly! There are two general categories of taxes and surcharges that you may see on your online statement: cost recovery charges and mandatory taxes and surcharges — and they break it down easily for customers!

  2. I think the no contract part sounds most appealing. After being with tons of companies where you’re required to sign a 2 year contract..I’m over it!

  3. I love the flexibility of their plans, especially the wi-fi only option, which I would definitely take advantage of!

  4. I love that it is a not contract plan and you can update your plan up to 2x a month if needed. We have a different “pay as you go” phone right now that we are not so happy with. I need to check this out. THanks!

  5. My favorite part is that there is no activation fee like there is with many other companies including Verizon who charges $30 per phone. thank you!

  6. I love that Republic Wireless has a variety of plans to choose. They have plans to suit everyone in our household. Definitely going to check it out in my area 🙂

  7. We’ve been trying to talk my guy’s parents into getting smart phones — it’d be so nice to be able to include them in group texts, or just an easy way to be in touch. This looks like it might be a nice choice for them.

  8. I appreciate a plan that can be had for $10 per month and allows for cell calls. These kinds of deals are hard to find.

  9. No contracts!!!!!!!!
After almost 20 years of being a Sprint customer, my fiance is finally sick of his bill being almost 3X what a new customer would be. hasta la vista ,baby!!!

  10. I like that you could change your phone plan twice each billing cycle. Perfect for when you need less/more service. I wish all services did this!

  11. Just like a lot of people, NO CONTRACTS!!! That sells me off the bat, I’m so tired of 2 year contracts. I wish the “bigger” wireless companies would get on track with no contracts a bit faster!
