Richard Scarry’s Busytown Town Hall Playset

holiday gift guide

With Christmas around the corner, everyone is wondering what to get for their loved ones. If you have a almost three year old like me, its anything with wheels that can “go really fast Mommy!!”. Richard Scarry’s Busytown Town Hall Playset is super easy to put together and the tracks can fit other trains too!

Richard Scarry’s Busytown is based on the television show The Busy World of Richard Scarry, a Canadian/French animated educational children’s television series, which aired from 1994 to 1997. The television series was based on the books drawn and written by Richard Scarry. Scarry’s characters were almost always anthropomorphic animals. His books were popular with children throughout the world. While his books are largely populated by common animal species, he proved to be quite adept at giving human characteristics to a seemingly endless number of creatures. Some of the most common character are Huckle Cat, Lowly Worm, The Pig Family, Sergeant Murphy, Hilda Hippo and Bananas Gorilla.

My son was very excited to get this new toy out of the box, he nearly had an emotional breakdown waiting for me to get all the pieces out. A little note to self: Next time take it out of the box before I let him see it! The little pencil car is very cute, my son called it a banana car the first time. The Town Hall opens up and your car can drive thru it!

Product Description: Curiosities are everywhere in Busytown! This fun  encourages social interaction between kids as they explore and play in their own Busytown world. This playset is loaded with play features from a drive-through tunnel to a fold-up ladder!

The Richard Scarry’s Busytown Town Hall Deluxe Playset with DVD includes:

· A double oval roadway layout
· 12 roadway pieces
· Sergeant Murphy figure to patrol traffic
· Hilda Hippo in her classic pencil car

· PLUS a bonus DVD that includes 2 Busytown Mysteries episodes!
