I can make a mean pot of chili, in fact I have a great recipe called Easy Two Pot Chili (keep reading for recipe) and this time I used Riunite wine.
Oh, yeah.
After all, what is better than football and chili? Answer: Not much!

Ingredients:
Green Pepper
Onion
Celery
Hamburger (2 lbs)
Tomato Juice (large can)
Tomatoes
Beans – chili, navy, black, kidney, garbonzo
Bottle of Riunite Lambrusco
Directions:
Brown hamburger drain fat, sauté green pepper, onion, and celery. Add 1 cup of Riunite Lambrusco and tomatoes, to the pan and cook another 3-4 minutes. Combine beans (except chili beans, you want to use the sauce that comes with them!) and rinse well.
Put hamburger, beans and tomato juice in soup pot. Add saute mixture. Add tomato juice, salt, pepper and another cup of wine. Move to bigger pot (that’s why it’s called 2 pot chili!) Add seasoning to taste. I usually add a good tablespoon (that’s right, tablespoon) of chili powder and a lot of fresh cracked black pepper. Minimal salt.
Simmer on the lowest setting for an hour or two.

With the addition of Riunite Lambrusco, the taste of my chili is even better. Even my husband (who isn’t one for change) noticed a subtle difference…and liked it! I thought it was just fabulous! Best of all, I had enough wine left over to enjoy a glass at dinner! Cheers and happy tailgating!
