My husband used to skateboard as a teenager and could do lots of cool skateboard tricks. We still have one of his original skateboards but it is so worn out that it doesn’t work well anymore. Even though it doesn’t work, the kids have loved trying to ride it and learn to skateboard like Dad does. Thanks to the Rockboard Radiate Skateboard they can finally learn on a board that will not only ride extremely well but has some really cool features too!

The new Rockboard Radiate Skateboard incorporates the revolutionary internal integrated LED wiring harness system to every board. Hit the on/off switch and the lights pop on or off depending upon what you want. This skateboard features 95A super high abrasion wheels for the smoothest ride possible.

Unique Features:

LED light system which provides visual effects without getting damaged
Wood 7 Ply hard rock maple
Wheels 95A super high rebound formula, offers increased abrasion resistance
Bearings Abec 5, chromoly speed bearings with double polished grooves and races
Trucks 356A aluminum cast, 90A bushings, grade 8 axles, hardware and fixed kingpins
Grip Tape Color matched, 80 grit tread surface

The Rockboard Radiate Skateboard arrived in a very sturdy box and was pre-assembled with a charger and a skateboard tool. My husband quickly adjusted the wheels easily using the enclosed skateboard tool and the skateboard was already pre-charged and ready to ride so the kids didn’t have to wait on it to charge before enjoying it.

I love how it comes with an on/off switch making it easy to turn the lights on or off depending upon what you want and can ensure that you don’t wear the battery down accidentally.

Our 11 year old daughter quickly ran outdoors to test it on the street. She already had some practice on her Dad’s old board so it didn’t take her long to be riding down the street in style. Our 8 year old daughter wasn’t as steady on the board but she is practicing everyday to get better and more balanced so she can ride like her sister. Our 6 year old son wouldn’t try it standing up but he loves to sit on it and ride it down the driveway and turn into the street. He also pushes himself down the street and rides it that way so he can still enjoy it too. Since I won’t let them ride on the street at night (and we don’t have a local skatepark) they haven’t got to enjoy the skateboard lights at night while riding the skateboard. However, they have enjoyed the lights inside at night. They will turn on the radio to the local Christian station, turn the lights off in their bedroom, turn the lights on the Rockboard Radiate Skateboard on and use it as a “dancing machine”. They spend hours at night dancing to the changing lights. And you thought a skateboard could only be used to skate, right?!

I have to admit, our “big kid” (aka: my husband) had to try out the Rockboard Radiate light-up skateboard too. He did fine riding it up and down the road. However, he decided to take it down a neighbor’s steep driveway and turn onto the road. He made it down the hill, onto the road and then he hit a rock and it flipped him. Of course, this was his own fault (he should have known better), and he had a really nice road rash down his right arm, on his right shoulder blade and all the way down his right shin. It was funny to hear him explaining his injuries to people….”I was riding my kids skateboard and…”

Best of all, there are no batteries to buy (which saves a lot of money!) because you recharge the skateboard lights using the enclosed light charger. Simply connect it to the skateboard, plug it up and charge the lights for future usage. This skateboard will inspire your children to want to play outdoors and challenge them to learn how to skateboard as well as do tricks (don’t forget the helmet!). The Rockboard Radiate Skateboard is designed for ages 8 and up, and is available  in a variety of colors.

The Rockboard Radiate Skateboard is providing hours of fun for our children (both big and small) at our house and will be enjoyed for many years to come.

You can purchase the Rockboard Radiate Skateboard at Target and the Radiate Skateboard is also available at Amazon for just $89.00 (which is an awesome deal for a great skateboard that includes rechargeable LED lights). *This is an affiliate link.
