Ruby’s Studio The Friendship Show DVD

the friendship show

My daughter has been a fan of Ruby’s Studio for quite sometime now. So she was thrilled to see a new DVD show up thanks to The Mother Company!

The host of Ruby’s Studio is, well, Ruby. She’s a fun loving gal whose art studio is visited by children. They have lots of fun together and, in this particular show, they take a look at friendships. Creating healthy and lasting friendships, how to confront bullying, and it touches on “the golden rule” which is something I am working on with Luv. I think The Friendship Show is a great DVD to add to her small collection.

Her favorite part:

… when Ruby was singing to the kids. I loved the bouncy balls. I want to make friendship trees, too. I want I have friendship trees, Momma.

I guess I know what our next craft will be, eh? *chuckle*

She was also sent a fun new book: Sally Simon Simmons’ Frustrating Day. This book is a silly and sweet lesson on dealing with a feeling that can be rough for kids to work through. Frustration.

Sally Simon Simmons' Super Frustrating Day

When Sally and her classmates are given the task of making a tall sandwich, everyone was excited. She started off great, but soon realized building a sky-high sammie took time and patience. Wiping the mustard from her face, she tries again…

Right alongside Sally, children will learn to breathe, take it slow, and try their best in this triumphant exploration of frustration, one of the greatest emotional challenges of early childhood (and beyond!)

I love how The Mother Company and Ruby’s Studio help children address different emotions and scenarios, as well as offering parents a tool for laying the foundation of values and learning life lessons. DVDs, books, music, even dolls are available to buy on the shop Ruby’s Studio website. These will surely make for great gifts!

  1. Well – I’m crying. This website just hit me in the feels really hard. Just taking a peek at the awesome items I stumbled across this one – When You Never Hear “I Love You”. You see my son has Autism and this hit particularly close to home. He is just learning to speak at 4 but I have yet to hear those three words. This is a wonderful company, and crying or not, I intend to purchase a few things. Thank you!
