Evenflo SafeMax All-in-One Car Seat, Great Trade In

Disclosure review
It’s winter and for most of us, that means sub-zero temperatures and slippery, icy roads. Car safety is incredibly important but even more during a time when the roads can be dangerous. Did you know that heavy coats are not meant to be worn in car seats because straps can’t be properly tightened to secure your child? When I first had my oldest daughter, I didn’t either! There are so many factors that contribute to being as safe as possible in the car. Babies “R” Us and Evenflo want to help us all with that!

evenflo

Evenflo has released the new SafeMax All-in-One Car Seat, the first ROLLOVER tested car seat in the United States. The SafeMax All-in-One Car Seat is for use with infants and children from 5 to 120 pounds and 57 inches in height. With its ability to go from rear-facing to forward-facing to booster seating, this car seat has a huge range and can be used from birth until your child no longer needs a car seat at all! Longevity is the second thing that I look for in a car seat, safety is the first! The SafeMax All-in-One Car Seat is not only rollover tested but other safety features include:

-An integrated steel frame, giving it the strength to help absorb the force of a crash.

-Harness webbing which helps limit the head movement and prevent ejection.

-The SafeZone Headrest, which is a combination of premium materials designed to aborb and dissipate crash forces.

– e3 Side Impact Protection, using three layers of superior protection to reduce the forces from side impact crashes up to 50%.

-OUTLAST Performance Fabric which is exclusive to Babies “R” Us and balances a child’s body temperature for a safer and more comfortable journey

-ParentLink PREMIER Service, with which you can access expert advice or even video chat with a certified car seat technician to ensure that you’ve properly installed the car seat into your vehicle.

Evenflo’s Parent Link PREMIER Service is kind of an amazing feature that I wish every company would embrace! So many of us are trying to figure out what bottle reduces the colic the best and which diaper prevents night time leaks, and we don’t even think about all of the details that come with car seats! What size car seat is right for your child? Where should the straps be if he is rear-facing? Are her straps tight enough? I love that Evenflo recognizes all of the questions and importance that come with car seat safety and has offered a simple and extremely helpful solution with their video chat capability! If you have any concerns at all about whether or not your car seat is properly installed, check out this link to find a car seat inspection station near you!

babiesrusevent

Speaking of car seats, the best event of the year is here! Until February 29th, the Babies “R” Us Great Trade-In Event is going on! In case you haven’t heard of it before, the Great Trade-In allows you to trade in your old baby gear for discounts on NEW things! You might be wondering why you would want to buy a new car seat if you already have the one that your sister used with her kids twelve years ago. Well, did you know that car seats expire?! The plastic becomes worn and less reliable in the event of a crash! Safety regulations and recalls lead to the changes of what’s acceptable in the baby world. For instance, cribs with drop-down sides were fully recalled as recently as when my second daughter was born! The more you use any item, the more worn and less reliable it tends to become and with babies, you can never be too safe!

So what can be traded in at the Great Trade-In?

You can trade in any number of used cribs, car seats, bassinets, strollers, high chairs, infant swings, bouncers, travel systems, walkers, entertainers, play yards and toddler/twin beds, no matter what the condition!

What do I get in return?

Save 25% with trade-in of a used gear or furniture item, 30% if you use an “R” Us Credit Card. Even if you don’t have anything to trade in, you can get 15% off with an in-store and online coupon!

Some of the participating brands include Baby Trend®, Britax®, Chicco®, Evenflo®, Graco®, Safety 1st®, and Sorelle™.

Check it out and be sure to brag about your deal on social media, using the hashtag #BRUGreatTradeIn!
