scunci Bendini Hair Clips

hair accessories for girls

hair accessories, scunci review

Like most women, I’m always changing my hair – coloring it, cutting it, curling it, straightening it, pinning it up, letting it down – you get the point… Anyway, the one thing I’m always looking for, no matter how I choose to wear my hair, is an interesting hair accessory.  You know something cute and flirty or vintage and funky…

Well, I just had the opportunity to try out a hair accessory that meets all of those needs.  It’s the scünci® Bendini™ Hairclip!  I received two adult Bendinis and two children’s Bendinis™ (which I immediately gave to Miss 15) and started playing around with them.  One of the Bendinis™ was “silver” with “pearls” and the other was a filigree goldtone.  The one I chose to wear in the picture is the “silver” and “pearls” one.

Upon looking at them, I immediately thought the Bendinis™ were cute.  I can totally see them being worn to a dance by younger ladies and out for date night for older ladies.  The hard part, though, was figuring out how to get the little combs into my hair.  The directions say to “slide the Bendini™ comb into the hair, bend and snap it securely in place.”  Um, yeah.  I kept thinking it was going to snap because I was bending it so hard.  Guess what?  It didn’t.  And once that baby was in there, it was in there until I removed it later that night.  I didn’t feel any pulling, tugging or snagging.  I didn’t feel it at all.  Yay!

Pros:

  • Very cute
  • Age appropriate (there are adult and young girl/tweenage versions)
  • Stays in place once it’s snapped into the hair
  • Inexpensive and can be used on a variety of hairstyles/types (except closely cropped hairstyles)

Cons:

  • Difficult to use at first (I had to read the instructions 3 times before I figured it out)

Scünci® Bendini™ Hairclips are hitting the shelves of drug, mass market and grocery stores nationwide starting in a suggested retail price of about $4.99 per pack.

  2. Honestly, I wear my hair different ways. It all depends on my mood and how it’s working for me that day. Most days, I like to just throw it up in a ponytail. Thanks.

  3. My favorite way to do my hair depends on the weather – unfortunately. If it is hot, my hair goes up into a claw/clip/ponytail. If it is cold, I usually wear it down – curly. My all time favorite way to wear my hair is to have someone else do it and wear it straight!

  4. My hair is long and straight so when I have time I like to curl it and leave it down.

  5. generally, i just drag my hair back into a pony tail and that’s that. the only time i ever really like my hair, is when i go in to have it styled. that lasts until i get home and shampoo…..then after fooling with it for a bit, i give up in disgust and drag it back into a ponytail again! lol i have NO hair skills. NONE!
