I absolutely LOVE grape juice. Not all grape juice is created equal though – they definitely do not taste the same. Welch’s grape juice has been around for

years, and Welch’s is a name I know and trust.
I received Welch’s Grape Juice for this review, and it reminded me how much I love it. I haven’t bought it in awhile, and I have no idea why. The taste is so rich and refreshing and I know it is good for myself and my family. We have even discovered that it is fun to mix the Welch’s Grape Juice with a little sparkling water for even more “zip”, and in place of soda. My kids actually prefer this over sweetened carbonated drinks. There is no sugar added in Welch’s Grape Juice, and it even has added Vitamin C in it! I also love that it has no artificial flavors or colors added. There is 1 serving of fruit in every 4 oz. glass – what’s not to love? Mmmmm tasty!
According to the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, half your plate should be fruits and vegetables. Incorporating immune- and heart-supporting nutrients into our children’s diet is not only important, but also could help shift the trend of nearly half of all Americans who still do not consume the recommended daily amount of fruits and vegetables.
One easy way to get this recommended daily amount, is to drink 4-oz. (or a 1/2 cup) of Welch’s 100% Grape Juice made with Concord grapes, which offers a full serving of fruit. Best yet, it is has no added sugar. It’s the Concord grape that offers antioxidants along with a mix of plant nutrients called polyphenols, which may benefit heart health!
Not only does their grape juice taste good, but it is good for you! Speaking of good, there is something really neat that Welch’s has developed – the Family Vine Tool. Knowing your family’s health history is so very important, yet many people have no idea what conditions might have existed in their family previously. We all know that diet and exercise affect our hearts, but so do genes. The Welch’s Family Vine Tool helps you trace your family health history, and have it all in one place where it can be shared it with other relatives.
To further help people learn about health conditions and how grapes can help, you can visit the Concord Grape Science Center to learn more about the benefits of grapes in your diet! I had no idea that grapes are so beneficial to our bodies.
There is even more good news! I was unaware that there are so many recipes that use grapes. With the Welch’s Recipe box, you will find some amazing looking recipes. I am excited to try a few of these with my daughter {we love to try new recipes!}. There are so many tasty looking ones – such as the Concord Grape-Nut Bread and the Zesty BBQ Sauce {just to name two – there are many, many more!}.

For Natural Nutrition Month, I thought I’d post something with a grape theme 🙂 My daughter had a couple of friends over today, and they drew these:

If you are like me, and haven’t had grape juice in awhile, I encourage you to try it again – not only for your taste buds, but for your body!

If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend their 100% black cherry concord grape blend
Oh that sounds tasty – thanks!
Welch’s definitely does have some quality juice! Since it’s 100%, my family and I can actually drink it, and we definitely love it 🙂
