I recently had to send a video to a rep, for a campaign I am doing. I didn’t think much of it, as I attach pictures to emails all the time. I am not too familiar with sending videos via email, however, so it threw me for a loop when I was told my file was too big. GULP. What was I supposed to do?
I searched the internet for hours (or so it seemed), to find a way to send my file. The funny thing is, my video wasn’t even very long, but that doesn’t matter. I guess all videos are just huge 🙂 I looked up several ways to utilize online file sharing, and it is a good feeling to know how to do this (I am sure it won’t be the last time I am asked to email a really large file!).
It’s funny – as much as I am on the computer, and online, one would think that I would know how to do just about everything. I actually felt rather dumb when my email wouldn’t go through, and I was left with question marks floating through my head. In my searches I actually found a couple of free sites, but I ended up going with a site where I pay monthly. I know I will need this service for the next two months at least (one video per month), and after that I will determine if there will be any future needs to send large files. If not, I can always cancel, but it might just be handy to have (you never know!).
How do you send your large files? What kinds of computer things do you have trouble with? Please tell me I am not alone!

Have you tried Binfer? Binfer is a great option to send large files directly from person to person, without uploading to a server. You can send hundreds of files of any size with a simple drag and drop. Binfer will manage the transfers with auto resumes, encryption, notifications etc. Check it out: binfer.com
