I have really dry skin, and I am always on the lookout for products that will help my dry skin. I really like natural products when I can find ones that will do the job. I was recently sent some wonderful products to review. Skin Free products have made my skin so soft and my skin is no longer dry.

A little about the products at Skin Free, from their site:

They are 100% natural and 100% non-toxic (as per Environmental Working Group evaluation). Our Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Soap and Shampoo Bar has recently been awarded the National Eczema Association’s Seal of Acceptance.

I developed the product line so that my clients could have Skin FREE from toxins, irritants, fragrances, colorants, petroleum derivatives, and animal products. The products are also affordable and effective.

How to prevent skincare issues

Did you know that most of our skin issues are actually caused by what we are eating? They say our skin is a reflection of our gut health. The main culprit for skin inflammation like acne and psoriasis, ezema, etc is diary. There is a protein in dairy called, casein. It actually can stick to the lining of our guts causing inflammation and skin irritations to occur. The horrible part is that even if you give up dairy, you will not see results for at least 3 months. I actually listened to a podcast on this subject from Dr. Robin Berzin, its a fantastic conversation on what is causing our skin issues and how you can prevent or treat them. I highly recommend you listen!

Summary

I love all of these products, but my favorites are the Super Moisture Butter Creme and the Naiouli Butter Stick. It was so funny – after just a couple of days after starting to use these products, my hubby was rubbing my arm and said, “Your skin is so soft”. Now, my hubby has never, ever said that before, and for him to notice is saying quite a lot! When I felt my own arm (I was curious) I remembered that I was using Skin Free and I had an “a-ha” moment. I have been using these morning and night for a couple of weeks now, and I really can see and feel the difference. The Butter Stick is really neat. It is a roll up, and can be applied directly to extra dry areas. I like using it on my elbows and knees. It’s also the perfect size to take along anywhere – purse, tote bag, etc. I am happy to find products that are natural, non-toxic and are not tested on animals.
