Quitting smoking is very difficult, especially for those who have been smoking for years. My husband has tried to quit several times, without success. I think part of the problem is that it’s the physical action of smoking (in addition to the need) that makes it such a hard habit to break. Although not necessarily designed for smoking cessation, South Beach Smoke Electronic Cigarettes are a good step in the right direction, for my husband.
I was elated when South Beach Smoke offered to send my husband a Deluxe Electronic Cigarette kit to review. I have heard so much about electronic cigarettes, and was curious to hear his thoughts on this, as well as hopefully get him to at least cut down on how many regular cigarettes he smokes.
He was apprehensive at first (of course that is typical for him with anything new!), but quickly liked how much these electronic cigarettes mimicked real cigarettes. What are the benefits? Well, for starters, the cartridges that come with the electronic cigarettes contain water and nicotine only…none of the other chemicals and toxins that are in regular cigarettes.

He really liked the “puff” of smoke (vapor) when he exhaled, and he has been substituting a few daily cigarettes with the South Beach Smoke Electronic Cigarette. I watched him assemble it and it was really easy. Simply charge the E-Cigarette Lithium Ion Battery (which looks like the white part of a cigarette), and attach a cartridge (which looks like a real filter!). The kit we received contained 5 cartridges, which is equivalent to 7-8 packs of cigarettes. That is a huge savings! It also contained two E-Cigarette lithium Ion Batteries – one which is about the size of a standard cigarette, and the second is more like a “100” long cigarette.
My husband also mentioned how convenient these will be when he is someplace where he can’t smoke, or before heading into meetings. He won’t reek of cigarette smoke, and that is a plus! I am really excited to watch him continue to use the South Beach Electronic Cigarette, and my hope is that he will be able to either cut down on regular cigarettes in general, or possibly even quit altogether!
