Where on Earth has the time gone? This year has flown by incredibly fast thus far and I cannot believe that it is already June with summer now being just around the corner! I remember being a little kid and the school year always seemed to drag on forever and the summers were all too short. It’s funny though; I think that the time we enjoy the most is that which always seems to, quite literally, fly by. This time spent with my little ones, these early years, every second is precious and although some days may seem to drag on, the weeks, months, and years pass in the blink of an eye. For those moments, our memories we hold dear. Our home is filled to the brim with photographs of wonderful moments forever frozen in time and, with each one, we can look back and reminisce with one another about the love and joy that was that exact moment. From first smiles and first birthdays to family outings and backyard play, I’ve photographed it all.
I have always been a fan of photography for as long as I can remember and if I wasn’t in front of the camera, I was most certainly behind it. However, since becoming a parent, my camera has become somewhat of an extra appendage. Seemingly glued to my hand at all times (in the form of an actual camera or just my cell phone), capturing each and every one of those special moments in life has become second nature. Unfortunately, all of my knowledge about photography has been self-taught since high school and I am, by no means, a professional photographer. With that being said, I’ve certainly had my fair share of horrid photos – out of focus, off balance, bad lighting, red eye, etc. – over the years. While I do agree that it is not just the camera that provides a great picture but also the photographer working the camera much akin to the fact that a pencil does not provide a great novel without a talented author, equipment does make a great difference.
These days, there are many folks that pick up a DSLR camera and think of themselves as great photographers. Then there are the great photographers working with your standard point and shoot cameras due to ease and convenience. Then, well, then there are those like me. Having tried many different cameras over the years, I’ve come to love certain features found within both ends of the spectrum. This is actually my first experience with the Samsung brand in regard to cameras and, despite my initial hesitation, I am actually quite pleased. I like that this camera works for following the action. My grandson is two and likes to run. Plus his mom is a graphic artist and has made lookbooks (catalogues) in the past when working for a jewelry company. She even put a few pics up on my blog.

Now this would have been a fun challenge. I am not a professional by any means but with some direction I attempt to take good photos
I have a big DSLR with a huge telephoto lens, and I have a small point-and-shoot that I carry in my bag. This Samsung camera would be a great replacement for the small camera, which I only use for “emergencies” when I can’t get to my DSLR. It would be great to have a smaller, more portable alternative, but one that takes great pictures. Thanks for this review!

been out of commission a lot this year…darn, I missed this. I love to photograph but my cam is way too heavy for me now. I love this has anti shake feature…with some issues I get a lot of blur lately. This project would have been super fun for me…as even being kind of stuck at home and community area, I’d have loved to find some great shots with the photo calendar project.
