Excited, jumping up and down, and grinning from ear to ear. These are the things I found myself doing when I was contacted to do a review and giveaway of gourmet taffy from TaffyTree.com. I was so incredibly happy, as I just have a thing for salt water taffy. I am a connoisseur of sorts, I guess you could say.
I was so thrilled when my taffy finally arrived. I immediately pulled it out of the box to discover a cute little white bag with beautiful ribbons, and a taffy menu attached. I opened the bag and poured a rainbow of colorful taffy treats. Oh boy – where does one begin when there are 80 different flavors that need to be sampled?!

I’ve often wondered why salt water taffy is called that. Most so called salt water taffy does not even have a hint of salt!. The TaffyTree.com taffy actually did, but certainly not too much. Just enough to give it that “oomph” that I have been searching for in my taffy for years (literally!). I was looking over the ingredients, and sure enough – real sea salt is used in their taffy. It is really neat to try different sweet flavors with a hint of salt.
TaffyTree.com has a very impressive list of flavors, and I loved each and every one of them. I really loved the Caramel Apple, the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, the Grape, Raspberry, Candy Corn….oh I will just stop now. It is safe to say I loved them all!
TaffyTree even has nine flavors of sugar free taffy and all of their taffy is completely Peanut, Tree Nut, and Gluten FREE! The taffy is made in a Gluten Free and nut free facility. All of TaffyTree taffy flavors are certified Kosher Dairy too!
