The Muppets releases DVD & Blu-Ray on March 20th!
I grew up loving The Muppets! I can remember spending hours laughing at the crazy antics of Gonzo, laughing at Miss Piggy’s infatuation with Kermit, being amazed at how many Muppets would fit into one vehicle and of course, singing along with Kermit as he sang his “famous” song ” while sitting on the log. When I was given the opportunity to review the latest Muppets release, “The Muppets” I was so excited. In fact, I think I was more excited than our children were!
The Muppets Wocka Wocka Value Pack comes with a Bluray, a DVD, Digital Copy and a soundtrack featuring 15 tracks to the movie. Come on…you know that all those Muppets singing along together makes you want to just chime right in with them?! This special Value Pack comes with all kinds of additional features including things like an 8 minute blooper reel, deleted scenes, spoof trailers, audio commentary and much more. The kids especially loved the little feature “A Little Screen Test on the Way to the Read Through”.
My husband and I both really enjoyed “The Muppets” movie and our kids loved it too. They did not grow up in The Muppets generation so the characters were fairly new to them but they quickly fell in love with their humor, their individual characteristics and the story behind The Muppets. The kids favorite part in the entire movie was “Man or Muppet” when Jason Segal’s own reflection was contrasted with the Muppet watching his reflection. The songs are entertaining and catchy as well and the kids loved all the music and dancing intermingled throughout the movie.
Despite the fact that the Muppets can be a little “off-color” at times (which is typical Muppet behavior!) this movie was very family-friendly and one our entire family has enjoyed watching on more than one occasion. I also love that the Digital Copy of the movie will allow me to transfer the movie to our Ipad so the kids can enjoy the movie even in the car (since we don’t have a DVD player in the car!).
The Muppets BluRay/DVD combo will be available for purchase March 20, 2012 and I highly recommend you get this movie for your family to enjoy…especially if you grew up watching the Muppets as a child!
