I have a thing for bags. All sizes and for all purposes, if it can hold something – well, I need it. Recently, I tried out the Cindy Tote from Thirty-One. This is my first Thirty-One item. I know, I know, where have I been? Well, there is simply so much to choose from, I haven’t been able to narrow it down until now.
Totes are a favorite of mine because I tend to over-pack. I never know if I’ll need it, so I bring it along whatever it is. You get what I’m putting down? The Cindy Tote is certainly generous in sizing. I like that I can get so much in there! Inside are three side pockets and one zipper pocket. My belongings are secure with the zip close top. As you can see, I’ve quite a bit in there! Wallet, coin purse, a Vera Bradley pouch that keeps lip balm, asprin/inhaler, etc., a book, kindergarten folder and iPad and if need be, I’d be able to slide my laptop in as well. It’s very roomy! I also have items in the pouches – business cards, granola bar, pack of gum, small notepad, pens, compact, etc. that can’t be seen. You would have never guessed, right?
I noticed there is also the option to attach a longer strap (although I didn’t receive a strap to try it out). The fabric is Black Cross Pop and it’s really lovely. This tote is professional enough for work, yet easily allows me to carry everything I need for my mom duties. I didn’t have my tote embroidered, but the option is there if you’d like it.
My favorite feature happens to be the two outside end pockets. I’m able to throw my phone in an end for quick access and a water bottle on the opposite end. Thinking ahead, it will be perfect for when I’m at conferences. I always carry a bottle of water with me when I travel and I hate mixing water and electronics!  It’s never a good combo!  With the outside pocket feature, I am at ease knowing that my bottle won’t sweat all over the inside of my purse.
The Cindy Tote retails for $70 and I’m comfortable with that price point as it’s a bag that can be used year round. Now that I’ve been properly introduced to Thirty-One, I can see the appeal they hold. I’ve already found 5 items I’d love to own!

The super organizer. I can use it for when i go to the gym when I have to pack snacks for the kids. The outside pockets are great. But really, I would use it everyday. As a working mom, you are always carting your home stuff to and from work in the hopes of doing some of it at lunch time. Yeah, i still believe it can happen.
The Large Utility tote is on my wishlist, and I would use it to keep all our swim gear and gym gear in for our many trips to the Y every week.
