I’m guessing trains are a rite of passage in this house. When Jeffery was little he was obsessed with trains, one Christmas our entire kitchen floor was nothing but train track that “Santa” had brought and put together for him. Now, Jaxon is in love with trains. Toy State sent me a Cat Iron Diesel Train to review and it arrived just in time for Jaxon’s 4th birthday!!!!
I honestly think the Toy State’s Cat Iron Diesel Train was Jaxon’s favorite gift. He asked to open it as soon as the wrapping paper was off of it. When we did get home and we were able to find 2AA batteries to put in it…Jeff put it together quickly and he sat on the floor and loved it. It had a little problem around corners and if the track wasn’t PERFECTLY level the train would jump the track but it works fine on the floor without the track.
The Toy State’s Cat Iron Diesel Train comes with 7 feet of track, the engine, a train car carrying 2 removable CAT machines, a pivoting crane car with removable crate and another simple train car. Jaxon loved being able to take the 2 CAT machines off and playing with them separately.

7 feet of track is quite a bit and I love that it comes with the removable CAT machines. How fun. Lucky me, I’m gonna have a grandson soon and I bet he would love this.

i think this is a nice toy and it would be good to give to boys for a birthday gift – often my daughter and i are stumped with what to buy when she’s invited to boy parties.

When my son was little my husband had a train set for him that was very elaborate. He loved playing with the train set and hearing the sound of the whistle. My husband was able to make a really nice train set for not a lot of money. But this train set is a good one and will not set a parent back because the price is great. This is a toy that a child will play with for years!
My son would really love this train. He plays with his Cat truck sdaily in the garden!
My son would have loved this when he was small. Now he is 35 and runs a real CAT skidsteer and loves it.

I have never heard of those trains. My boys love trains too and one Christmas my soin received 3 train sets along with the bunch of trains he got for his birthday just 11 days prior =).
My nephew would have a lot of fun with this toy.
i love that it propels itself with batteries. that’s so much more fun for kids to watch than pushing it back and forth on the tracks by themselves
