Barefoot is the way I would live my life if I could. Shoes have always felt restrictive to me and I’m a big fan of the au naturel way of living. There are certain terrains that aren’t the most comfortable for my bare feet, though, and I am not coordinated enough for flip-flops. I had such a difficult time finding the right shoe for someone like me. I needed shoes that could give me the comfort of being barefoot and the protection of a shoe, without making me trip over my own feet and I found that when Vibram FiveFingers sent us their shoes to review! Vibram FiveFingers are a large part of the barefoot running movement. A personal trainer friend of mine absolutely loves them and says that they are so much better for your feet for walking and running. For children, research has proven that minimal footwear is best for proper natural development of the feet. Girls’ feet are not fully formed, cartilage to bone, until age 18-19 and for boys, until age 20-21. This means that kids should be wearing minimalist shoes, like Vibram FiveFingers, from the time that they can walk throughout their teens, at least! My six year old daughter and I each tried a pair of Vibram FiveFingers. She tried the Vibram FiveFingers Kid’s Alitza. In her own words “I like that I can run and play in them and they are so comfy. I really like how they look and I can’t wait to wear them in the summer time and at the beach.” My active little girl has worn them to school almost every day since she got them and she shows them to everyone. I would say that these shoes receive two thumbs up from my daughter!
The Vibram FiveFingers Women’s VI-B were my shoes of choice since they resembled a sort of barefoot sandal, something I knew would be perfect for me and oh boy, was I right! The Vibram FiveFingers VI-Bs are so comfortable and lightweight, they are going to be my go-to shoe from now on. They look comfy and my DIL wears by hers so I thought I might like them, too.
I like going barefoot but this will protect the bottoms of my feet from being injured.
The idea of almost feeling like you are barefoot appeals to me!
I like that it is as close to barefoot as you can get but the soles of your feet are protected.
What appeals to me most is that they’re lightweight and when on, feel like you’re in your barefeet!
I like that they’re not restrictive on your feet and let them feel freer than shoes do.
I like to be barefooted and so does our son (which is good for him) but I am afraid of what he and I would step in while running around outside where we live (we live where a lot of animals like to visit our lawns) so we have to wear shoes which in the hot summer who really wants to do that?! So this product would solve our problem!!

I grew up going barefoot whenever possible and still take off my shoes when ever I can. I’d love to try these as they look so comfortable.

I was developing a bunion and I was upset. did tons of reading and took my foot care into my hands and the internet is a blessing because I just need W I D E shoes and NO rounded toe boxes! I’ve been wanting a pair of shoes like the Vibram FiveFingers for a long while now. I like the way they look and have heard that they are comfortable. My husband doesn’t like the look of them. I am so in love with these, oh my I hope I win. They look so cool, I HATE wearing shoes, I take them off when I am home, in the car, pretty much whenever I can. I love that these allow you to use all of your foot, I dance around and climb frequently so to have the freedom and mobility that you can’t have with shoes on is great !
