Finally, a new Christmas classic! Our family had the pleasure of watching the Netflix Original, A Boy Called Christmas during an exclusive screening last week. Netflix Family also sent over these delicious macarons from Dana’s bakery to enjoy while we watched, so that was such a treat!
Macarons are very difficult to get right even for a seasoned baker. When I saw the festive baked goods I thought they were very appetizing, but oh no…are they going to be stale? No Ma’am! These were fresh and had the perfect mix of soft crunch and chewiness in the center. The creme filling was superb, so bravo Dana’s bakery for your smashing debut in our household.
A Boy Called Christmas was full of emotion, adventure and wonder. The Netflix film reminded me of the fantastical movies I grew up loving as a kid like, The Neverending Story. There were so many surprises and one part of the movie even brought me to tears.
Only on Netflix
It’s just such an endearing family friendly movie with enough action and plot twists to keep adults entertained as well. A Boy Called Christmas premiere’s November 24th only on Netflix and it will make a great movie to watch on Thanksgiving Day.
This movie stars Henry Lawfull as Nikolas. The acting was wonderful and kept me invested in the story.
Brief Synopsis
A boy name Nikolas goes on a mission to look for his father after his disappearance on a quest to find something, anything that can bring the spirit of Christmas back to their impoverished village.
When Nikolas’ father doesn’t return, he sets out to find him and a mythical land known as Elfhelm. That’s when the perilous journey begins to unfold.
Watch this movie with family this holiday season and make it part of your holiday classics. It’s rare to find such a well produced, well written, feel good Christmas story these days and A Boy Called Christmas is all of that and more. Thank you Netflix Family for the lovely gift!
Be sure to watch A Boy Called Christmas only on Netflix November 24th, 2021.
