Our Christmas Madeleines are the perfect festive cookies for the upcoming holidays! They are easy, tasty, and go together in minutes!
During the holidays, I always like to have goodies available for guests who pop in, or last minute friends that I invite over. I also prefer for these same goodies to be homemade, as I love to bake!
Since it is busy enough during the holidays, and I do my fair share of baking, it is a nice break to be able to just sit and decorate. I can turn regular Madeleines into colorful and festive holiday Madeleine cookies in a matter of minutes. These festive holiday Madeleine cookies are easy to serve, as they don’t require forks or fancy plates and I don’t have to pull out a spatula or knife and I don’t have to cut anything into pieces.
I love to serve decorated Madeleine cookies. Not only are they delicious {if you buy them from the right store!}, but they are just so pretty to start with. When you dip them in your favorite chocolate and add sprinkles or other decorations of your choice, they really are stunning.
The steps for making our holiday Christmas Madeleines are basically the same as they are for the Sweet and Salty Holiday Pretzel Bows that I posted about recently. The instructions for melting the chocolate are the same, and you can use either White, Milk or Dark chocolate. Of course, you have more options when decorating the Madeleine Cookies, as your surface area is a bit larger.
