Grow Some Boom with Angie’s Boomchickapop

Since being diagnosed with Diabetes, I’ve become a bit more selective when it comes to food.  I have to be.  I am not only trying to control the amount of sugars I consume, but I’m curious as to how the food is processed, if any at all.

Boom

Since popcorn is one of my most favorite snacks…and I totally thought I’d have to give it up for good.  That’s not the case!  I had the chance to try out Angie’s Boomchickapop Sea Salt popcorn and it’s amazing!  The carb count isn’t as high as I imagined and I’m definitely going to make sure we have a bag or two of it around.  Angie’s Boomchickapop is natural, cholesterol free, 100% whole grain, Vegan, contains no trans fat, is certified kosher and gluten-free and is non GMO product verified.  Not only is it good for you…but it’s really, really tasty!

Boomchickapop

Angie’s Boomchickapop has a fun initiative to participate in.  It’s called Grow Some Boom, and is an effort to educate people on where their food comes from and allows them to grow a good-for-you snack from the ground up.  Through the month of April, consumers can pick up limited quantities of free (yes, free!) untreated, non-GMO, popcorn seeds in locations such as locations that include Costco, Target, Super Target, Whole Foods and regional grocery stores nationally, as well as in co-ops, health food stores or ordered online, wherever you purchase your Angie’s Boomchickapop popcorn.

Grow Some Boom

This is your opportunity go try out those green thumbs to grow your own…and eventually pop and enjoy…your very own Boomchickapop popcorn at home.  I think it’s pretty cool!

Boomchickapop

We’re expecting snow on Sunday, so I’m not ready to plant quite yet, but into the first couple of weeks in May, I’ll get my seeds in the ground and we’ll watch them grow all summer.  I can’t wait!

Make sure you check out the Grow Some Boom blog for tips and tricks for healthy growing during the season as well.
