Get Fit and Fierce with Icelandic Glacial – Review

In parenthood, there are plenty of things that we try to teach our children. One of the daily lessons here is the importance of water. Thankfully, I’ve been blessed with two little ones that, more often than not, opt for the healthier options when it comes to just about anything including their drink of choice. Now that the weather is getting warmer and we’re headed outdoors more, proper hydration is more important than ever. That being said, how often do you actually think about what is in the water that you are drinking? For the longest time, water was just water to me. So long as it wasn’t visibly dirty, it was good. Of course, I knew that even “clean” water often hid a long list of not-so-good-for-you impurities so I found solace in a simple, filtered pitcher.  I thought that this was enough, and I thought that I was doing right by my family but I was wrong. Now, when you know better, you do better so I took some time to educate myself on the subject. With the help of a friend of mine, a biological oceanographer, I learned a lot of new things. Specifically, how each and every impurity found within drinking water has an effect on our bodies. Needless to say, it was a definite wakeup call for me.

Luckily, I had the chance to further open my eyes to the subject when I was given the opportunity to try out a rather spectacular brand of bottled water. Meet Icelandic Glacial.

Icelandic Glacial Logo

Icelandic Glacial is the super-premium natural spring water. Iceland, being one of the world’s cleanest ecosystems, is home to colossal glaciers, beautiful spouting geysers, intense raging rivers, and sizzling volcanoes. Hidden deeply within all of the beautiful scenery is Iceland’s legendary Ölfus Spring. Having been formed more than five thousand years ago and surrounded by an impenetrable barrier of lava rock, its water is shielded from pollution. The water collected from this specific spring is so truly pure that there is absolutely nothing that is added nor taken away before being bottled for consumption.

Icelandic Glacial Bottle

Since the spring is constantly being replenished by things like rain and the snow and ice-melt from the nearby, it is a sustainable source in every sense of the word. Much like the spring itself, Icelandic Glacial is determined to not only provide an incredibly clean water source but to also do so in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. Using 100% natural green energy to fuel its production, Icelandic Glacial delivers their super-premium bottled water to its customers while simultaneously maintaining a “net zero” carbon footprint.

Icelandic Glacial

The environmentally friendly status is one in which Icelandic Glacial has built itself upon. And, coincidently, it is one that the country prides itself on as well. The beautiful, scenic, and raw environment has an influence on and within everything in and of Iceland.

From the arts and basic culinary dishes to the culture and the strength and willpower of the country’s inhabitants, Iceland’s impression on society and the way of life is certainly one for the ages and now you get their quotes from Tilvitsun.is

Much like the often spoken of American spirit, residents of Iceland live their lives with a passion for pursuing their goals. Just take Frederik Aegidius for example…

Frederik Aegidius

Frederik, a two-time competitor, is currently preparing to compete for Iceland in the 2014 CrossFit Games. He’s said that he found his inspiration in Iceland’s history of outstanding athletes and their strong dedication to, both, health and fitness. This mindset is quite comparable to that of Iceland’s fearless Viking heritage. And this is why Frederik has partnered with Icelandic Glacial for the first part of their year-long campaign series celebrating that very same determination. Coupled with an ongoing series of contests, consumers will get to experience the “Icelandic Way” first hand.

Iceland

“Iceland’s Viking ancestors settled in a land where volcanoes and glaciers clashed. Because of this harsh environment, they developed a legendary will to survive and cultivated a culture of strength and fitness. Participants in this first series will have a chance to travel to ‘The Land of Fire and Ice’ to train with two-time CrossFit Games competitor, Frederik Aegidius, as he prepares to compete for Iceland in the 2014 games.”

Over the past few weeks, participants have submitted their stories on how they passionately pursue strength and fitness. Each vying for that coveted spot and chance to train with Frederik in Iceland, their fate now lies in your hands. Between now and May 18th, you can head over to the Icelandic Glacial Facebook page to vote for your favorite of the top ten candidates. The winner will be sent on an amazing trip to Iceland experience fitness the “Icelandic Way.” While there, he or she will have three one-on-one training sessions with Frederik and, in turn, learn to adopt and hone the lifestyle and fierceness of the Icelandic fitness ways.

Icelandic Glacial Contest

Of course, over the course of the campaign, Frederik will be posting a series of tips and videos on the Icelandic Glacial Facebook page. Between his tips to keep you fit and the genuine goodness of the Icelandic Glacial water itself, you are sure to be on your way to your own health and fitness goals.

At the end of the day, whether you’re pursuing a current fitness goal with an Iceland mindset or you simply want to free your body of impurities on a mission to live a healthier lifestyle, Icelandic Glacial is the way to go.
