CastCoverz! Review

CastCoverz!

cast cover

cast

This is an image that you don’t want to see as a mama.  Ever.  Especially 3 days before you are east bound and down for a week in sunny Daytona Beach.  But it was the picture that was sent to me and we had to make the best of the situation.

pink cast

Enter the swimming cast.  I wasn’t sure about it but we didn’t have much choice.  We live on a lake and swim almost everyday and since it was an option we took it.  The swimming cast worked beautifully at the beach, in the swimming pools, and even in our lake.  I rinsed it really good after days on the beach and afternoons in the lake.  You know, to keep the funk out.  While we were able to keep her cast relatively stink free what we weren’t able to do was keep it clean.  We tried to scrub the cast but it was dingy after the 2nd week.  I let all of her friends sign it to sort of hide the dirty color but then the signatures started to fade and they looked bad too. Lucky for us something was on the way to make the final days with a dirty cast fun and fashionable.

CastCoverz! started when a daughter broke her arm.  Feeling bad her mama made her a few covers and sling sets and CastCoverZ! was born

We were sent 2 sizes to review and the small fit our daughter the best.  However, the 7 year-old forearms are oftentimes the first bones to grow so if you order from CastCoverz! make sure to actually measure to ensure a perfect fit for your child.  Each CastCoverz! is latex free and made right here in the USA.  Woo hoo!  The CastCoverz were sent to use super fast so that we could review them before my daughter’s cast was taken off.  We washed it one time and let it air dry.  They clean up perfectly and retain their shape to use over and over again.

My 7 year old was able to put the CastCoverz! on and take it off herself with ease.  The adorable cupcake design we were sent was an immediate hit.  All 3 of my girls wanted to wear it!

I am bummed that this review opportunity came towards the end of her broken arm because it would have sure been nice to have but I, probably like you, didn’t know that there was even such a thing!  Maybe you weren’t given the choice of a swimming cast?  No problem!  CastCoverz! makes a Waterproof Cast Protector to protect your cast from the water.

No matter the bone you break there is a CastCoverz! to fit your need.  From children to adults CastCoverz! make you feel stylish even though you are sporting a cast.  Custom sizes are available.  A small CastCoverz! like we reviewed is just $16.99.  There are a ton of fabric options to choose from so something for everyone.

I am not wishing a broken bone on anyone but if it happens, as accidents do, check out CastCoverz! to cover and protect your cast but also put a smile on your face! CastCoverz! is on Facebook and Twitter.

    Jessie,
What an OUTSTANDING review of http://www.castcoverz.com! We LOVE your pictures, adding a lot of content from our website and especially your personal comments about our products. The only thing missing was we couldn’t help your daughter, sooner! We’re glad she is on the mend. Getting a cast removed in our house always meant getting an ice cream cone! 🙂

I ordered a cast cover In May of 2013, was not happy with it. Sent it back and was assured of a refund. Oh yea, this is January of 2014, think I will get it?
