When Luv was a baby, she loved white noise. Whether it was the vacuum running, static on the radio, or a sound machine, she would easily fall asleep. Out and about, it was a bit more difficult. A stroller never really let her settle down to sleep and car rides were hit and miss (still are). If baby #2 follows big sister’s lead, away from home naps may prove to be difficult!
Cloud b has created On The Go travel size versions of their plush sound machines to help calm little ones and settle them to sleep when away from the familiarity of home. We were sent the Gentle Giraffe On The Go. This little guy features four Serengeti sounds; safari groove, jungle trails, bubbling brook, and Victoria Falls. I especially like that there aren’t human voices singing or telling stories… Sure, they might soothe baby, but they drive this momma up a wall. *wink* These are sounds that we all enjoy. I am partial to the rhythmic drums in safari groove.
Other features include:
- Sounds activated with the push of a button above the on/off knob.
- Timer options of 23 and 45 minutes, helping to save battery life.
- Includes an adorable, illustrated mini safari storybook and adoption certificate.
- Two AA batteries included.
I love that this plush sound machine is small enough to be a welcome travel companion as well as a familiar “friend” at home. Simply loop the Velcro strap to secure the Gentle Giraffe to baby’s car seat or stroller. For now, I have him attached to the bassinet, just waiting on Bug’s arrival!
Cloud b’s On The Go sleep soothers retail for about $24.95 and are available in baby departments at Target, Babies R Us, and online. Other On The Go companions are: Sleep Sheep, Bubbly Bunny, and Funky Monkey. These friendly travel size sound machines would make for a great baby shower gift, not to mention a worthy traveling companion for your little one{s}!

Cloud b looks pretty cool for a sound machine. I like how easy it looks to travel with. Thanks for the suggestion 🙂
