Fetch the Excitement of the New Year with Chuckit! – Review

 

Now with the holiday season officially over, let me ask you something – did you remember your pets? During the holidays, we buy gifts for husbands, wives, kids, parents, in-laws, siblings, nieces, nephews, grandkids, and so many more. However, how many folks actually remember to add Fido to their shopping list?

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a bit hesitant when it comes to loading up on goodies for our own pup. He certainly doesn’t go without and almost always has a good supply of treats but I’ve found that it is difficult to make new purchases where dog toys are concerned. You see, every dog is different; their chewing habits, their style of play, and their ability to either destroy or enjoy a particular toy. Over the years, and after having many dogs that were heavy chewers, there has always been one particular brand that stood out. Currently the one that is most present in our home today and one of my favorite all time dog product brands, please allow me to introduce you to Chuckit!

When I say that the Chuckit! products are most present in our home, I mean that quite literally. When we first brought our dog home, the rescue that we adopted him from sent him off with a basket full of goodies many of which were of the Chuckit! kind. Although we’ve purchased a good amount of toys since then, our pup always seems to gravitate back toward the same few. Yes, all Chuckit! items.

Having a husky, our family is certainly familiar with playful pups. While I can surely say that our dog and the entire family absolutely loved being to play with each and every one of them, individually and as a whole lot, every single one of these products has something unique to offer dogs and their human best buds. Erratic Ball

How many of you have seen your dog try to step on and stop a toy only to have it shoot off in an opposite direction? Keep that image in mind because that’s exactly what will happen with the Chuckit! Erratic Ball!

Chuckit! Erratic Ball is a durable geometrically shaped rubber ball that bounces erratically to keep the game interesting and challenging for your dog. Squared corners cause the ball to bounce every which way when thrown.

My dog could easily play with this ball on his own for hours and hours of ridiculous play. He really does love it that much! Due to its geometric shape with formed corners, it is constantly bouncing every which way. After throwing it across the yard for him, we often watch our pup chase after it to the left, to the right, up in the air, this way, and then that way.

When he finally does retrieve it and bring it back to us like the good dog that he is, a simple “drop it” command leads to even more chaotic fun. You see, as soon as it hits the ground, it’s bound to bounce off once more!

 

Evader

The Chuckit! Evader is yet another one of the brand’s erratically silly yet wildly fun toys that our dog has fallen in love with. Much like its Erratic counterpart, the triangular-shaped edged on this geometric ball of rubbery greatness is quite literally a ball of fun on its own.

Chuckit! Evader is constructed from all rubber, and made to last for hours of game playing fun for your pooch. Ideal for fetch as well as games in small spaces and ground pursuit. Its random action will keep the dog guessing as to where it’s going to land.

Whether it’s bouncing up and down, off to the left, on over to the right, or even in some insane this way or that way diagonal direction, the Evader brings a whole new perspective to the usual game of fetch. This is another one that has a way of starting its own new pursuit the very second that someone yells “drop it!”

Although he often starts his own silliness whenever he drops the ball to the ground, it is by far his favorite moment when we opt to “chuck it” across the yard and let the chaos ensue.

 

Max Glow Ball

During the winter months, it can often be hard to find the time to get outside and play with your dog. It’s not so much the time that is the issue here but rather the lack of daylight. By the time the whole family is home and able to head outdoors for some good old fashioned play, it gets dark and we’re forced back inside. Thankfully, Chuckit! realized that the lack of light was an issue for many and, instead of encouraging folks to head indoors to the more well-lit areas, they lit up the play itself.

This particular ball is, by far, one of our dog’s favorites. You see, while he is often quite calm and content once the kids go to bed, his husky craziness kicks into high gear the moment that we let him outside just before bed. However, with the skies in a near pitch-black state and the chill of the evening air often far too bitter for me to be running around out there, the simple “chuck” of the Chuckit! We had the original Chuckit! Fumble Fetch and Kick Fetch for quite some time prior to these variations being released.  When we originally purchased them, we were looking for something that the kids and the dog could all play with together. Our pup loved (oh, and I mean loved!) to sink his teeth into the kids’ soccer balls and footballs… and destroy them. I knew that we needed to find him some sort of doggy version of these but my search was often unsuccessful. Thankfully, I stumbled across these little gems while wandering the local pet store one day and, of course, we just had to have them.

Extend fetch time to early mornings and late nights with Chuckit! Fumble Fetch and Kick Fetch Max Glow fetch toys. Charge under bright light 5 to 10 minutes for 20 to 30 minutes of high-visibility, lights play.

While he thoroughly enjoyed the original pair, he was even more excited to sink his teeth into these ones. Much like the Max Glow Ball, the Chuckit! Max Glow Fumble Fetch and Kick Fetch balls are outfitted with a glowing capability that makes them perfect for use during all hours of the day.

Maybe it’s because I am the only female in the house or maybe it’s because I’ve seen far too many episodes of “Lassie” but when I think of dogs and their best pals, I don’t think of “man’s best friend.” Instead, I think of little boys and their dogs running around and simply enjoying one another’s company. This product only adds to that vision. Think about it for a second – boy, dog, slingshot. How fun does that sound?

What’s that sound? No, really… what was that sound? It is no secret that most dogs have a knack for hearing even the slightest sound so it is also no secret that incorporating sound into playthings is a genius idea. After all, if you want to get their attention, all you need to do is whistle! The ball that is.
