With the holidays and the year now coming to an end, the kids have been getting restless. School has yet to begin again and, most days, it is too cold for lengthy outdoor play. We’ve been making the rounds through our collection of board games, teaching the little ones new card games, working through learning books, coloring like crazy, and then some. I am quite creative on my own so, thankfully, I’m able to come up with a good amount of ideas to keep us busy. However, we all run out of ideas at some point. This particular box was custom designed for the kindergarten age group and worked out wonderfully for both of our little ones. While Citrus Lane offers custom boxes for newborns through children up to 5-years-old, I found this particular box to be the perfect for, both, our oldest and youngest. The magazine was a huge hit with our big guy and he dove right into it. Between its intriguing content and its fun puzzles throughout, we had a blast enjoying it together.
Our youngest, on the other hand, took claim of the nightlight almost instantaneously. We flipped all of the light switches, pulled down the shades, and closed all of the curtains so that we could put it to the test right then and then… in broad daylight. Even then, we were able to see the magical images that appeared on our ceiling. With a choice of either blue or green, this little light was ideal for our boys.
Underneath our new starry night sky, we cuddled up and sat by our imaginary campfire (better known as the fireplace). Now, of course, with any campfire, you need good music. The harmonica that was included in our box was a great addition to our day (or night?) of play.
After an attempt to play a number of fun children’s songs that turned into a spit-filled mess, we opted for a good snack time break. At the end of the day I was absolutely overjoyed with how much fun came out of one tiny box. Citrus Lane is, surely, one of my absolute favorite companies for kids. What a really nice box of goodies to get at Citrus Lane. I like the subscriptions available. I can get it monthly or every 3 months and 6 month subscription plans. I like that I can choose and personalize my box.
My daughter does this for a makeup subscription, she may be interested in this for my grandson just to surprise him. You got some great things there

I got a chuckle out of the nightlight. I wish they had services like this when I was a kid. This is a great gift that is a fun way to have them be surprised over and over – not just unwrap for one minute.
I got a chuckle over their reaction to the nightlight. If that had a service like this when we were kids, I’d have gone crazy when a box arrived – it would be sensational. This would be a great gift, knowing the excitement it would create over and over, and then a phone call about what they got!!!
I have heard of Citrus Lane and browsed the site but I do not have kids so I do not need it obviously. I think it is a great idea for parents with young kids! Very cute idea and lots of goodies.
