Clearing The Air With AirFree ONIX 3000 Air Purifier

AirFree ONIX 3000 Review

Disclosure review
We live in a beautiful part of New England, in a charming neighborhood full of old Victorian homes. Most of the homes in our neighborhood were build in the 1850’s, which means their bones are good. It also means that my house is really old.  Combine an old home with the New England late spring allergy season and do you what I’ve got? A husband who’s eyes get puffy and red every time he steps out side and a husband who sneezes at the dust mites when he’s home. Which is why I was over the moon to receive the Airfree ONIX 3000 Air Purifier.

Airfree air purifiers are effective against bacteria, viruses, mildew, mold, dust mite allergens, pet allergens, pollen, and tobacco odors.

Our AirFree ONIX 3000 arrived about two weeks ago and has been running in our living ever since. The set up process was very simple- open up the box and plug it in! Just like you sterilize water by boiling it, the AirFree Onix 3000 sterilizes the air. Air is drawn into the Airfree, heated to 390 degrees (which instantly sterilizes it), and then the sterilized air is sent into a cooling device before it goes back out into the air in the room that it’s in. Other than the blue light on top of it and the way it makes the air smell so pure in the room you’re in, you wouldn’t even know that it’s there- it doesn’t make a sound!  Since using the AirFree ONIX 3000, my husband’s allergies have dramatically improved. So much so, that he’s no longer needs to take his allergy medication on a daily basis!

 AirFree ONIX 3000 Review
Beyond the way it functions as an air purifier, I really appreciate the design. It is sleek and modern- I think it would fit in nicely with almost any home decor (it’s not clunky looking).  My six year old says that he thinks it looks like Darth Vader’s head. I think he’s right! Our ONIX 3000 is currently in our living room, on top of our bookshelf. However since it weighs less than five pounds, it can be moved from room to room as needed. I have a feeling we’ll be using it a lot in the kid’s bedroom this winter, especially on the nights when they’re not feeling well. I moved it to the kitchen the other night for a bit, after Malone (my six year old) had a popcorn making experiment that didn’t go so well. Because it is contained all in one piece and so lightweight, the Airfree ONIX 3000 could easily travel with you if you needed it to. As you can see from the photo above, it is just a little bit taller than a paperback book.
