Dreyer’s Smoothies – add milk and stir!

I am a huge fan of ice cream and everything containing ice cream – from milkshakes, malts and sundaes to banana splits and everything in between.  Of course not all ice cream is created equal…it has to be good ice cream.  One my of my favorite ice cream brands is Dreyer’s.  Yep – we have been friends for many, many years.  They are always coming out with tempting new flavors and they stay on top of the game.

I had no idea though, that Dreyer’s had something on the market that I wasn’t even aware of.  New Dreyer’s Smoothies!  The concept is really clever – the smoothie mix comes in a single-serve portioned cup.  You simply add milk and stir to create a yummy, refreshing smoothie!

I was sent several smoothie cups to try out and my first thought was that since they were frozen, that they might not stir very easily.  I couldn’t have been more wrong.  I added the milk, per the directions, and it was very easy to stir.   The result?  A heavenly treat that tasted so good!

Dreyer’s Smoothies are available in several flavors.  You can have a traditional chocolate smoothie, cookies n’ cream, or one of several fruit smoothies!  Or you can be creative like my daughter and I did, and mix a chocolate one, and a strawberry one, then put half of each in a bowl (or the cups).  It’s like having a chocolate covered strawberry 🙂

I hope you will give Dreyer’s Smoothies a try. They really are simple, and incredibly refreshing. I have been enjoying them thoroughly, especially since it has been so hot here lately in California!

**I was provided samples of the above product from Dreyer’s to facilitate this review.
