One of my very favorite combinations in food is strawberries and chocolate. They just go so well together (and both are really tasty on their own too!). I have had many chocolate covered strawberries in my life – some were better than others. Speaking of better, I was recently asked to try the Fannie May Sea Salted Caramel Chocolate Covered Strawberries, I swooned. Literally swooned. I didn’t know such a thing existed, and since sea salted caramels are one of my favorite things in life, how could I resist?
I first have to mention how beautifully packaged these were when they arrived. I do believe that opening a box to find this would put a big smile on anyone’s face:

Let’s talk about fresh! Now, some chocolate strawberries that I have ordered in the past have been a little bit “leaky” when they arrived. The strawberries were just kind of sitting in a puddle of juice. This definitely wasn’t the case with the Fannie May strawberries. The juices were kept inside the strawberries, safely encased with milk chocolate. Fannie May Berries arrive to you within 24 hours or your order date, so you know they are fresh! You will receive large, luscious berries that are hand dipped in 100% rich, smooth, Fannie May chocolate.
A mouth-watering mix of sweet, savory and oh-so-good combines in our new gourmet strawberry. Hand-dipped in delightfully creamy real milk chocolate, each fresh berry is then sprinkled with a sea salt, resulting in a richly tempting treat that’s certain to satisfy!
I was really impressed not only with the quality of the strawberries, but with the decadent milk chocolate coating that surrounded each berry. It was melt-in-your-mouth smooth and the top notch ingredients used in this chocolate were evident. Although I didn’t really detect much caramel, the sea salt and chocolate together was fantastic. It was a fun twist on chocolate covered strawberries.
The berries I received aren’t the only ones with a twist. Other Fannie May handcrafted berry combinations include Toasted Coconut & White Chocolate (Trinidad©), Milk Chocolate Caramel & Nuts (Pixies©), Pink & White Champagne, and Holiday flavors—Dark Chocolate Gingerbread, Eggnog, and Candy Cane.

Umm I would say them all, they all look amazing. But I would love the Pixie Berries: dipped in a divine mix of caramel infused real milk chocolate and covered with crunchy pecans. Yes that’s right caramel, yummm!!
