As Seen on TV: Grab Bag expanding reusable grocery bags!

 

I occasionally receive an item to review that literally makes me squeal with delight. I received such a product a few days ago, and earlier today, I had a chance to put them to use – Grab Bag expanding grocery bags! I’m sure you have seen them on, well on TV (As Seen on TV). Every time I saw the commercial, I knew I wanted to try these bags. My husband even thought they were pretty neat and agreed that we needed these.

Here are a few of the reasons I wanted to try them so much:

 

I usually dread grocery shopping, but with these bags in tow, I was actually looking forward to shopping this morning! They come two to a pack and they fold up neatly for transporting. Once at the store, I was able to put three of these in my shopping cart, using the clips on each side of the bags to hold them open and in place.

I went about my shopping routine as I normally do, but this time I put the items into the Grab Bags – putting cold items in one and regular items in the other.  When I got to the checkout line, unloading my groceries was a breeze since I didn’t have to load each individual item on the conveyor belt.  I just grabbed my three bags and set them up there. This made my life so much easier, as my neck tends to hurt (since my surgery) as I unload from my basket to the belt. The cashier simply pulled each item out, scanned it and when the bag was emptied, those groceries were loaded back in.

The Grab Bags holds SO much stuff – up to 40 lbs. in fact!  It would take about 12 or 13 regular plastic bags to hold all of my groceries.  You can see above how many items are in the bag, with lots of room to spare. And the below photo shows a Grab Bag stuffed to the gills.

Each Grab Bag has a velcro closure and sturdy handles.  It was funny – I asked my daughter and husband to help me bring in groceries (like I usually do), and it took literally one minute. Usually we grab a bunch of plastic bags, bring them in the house and then go back out for more.  With the Grab Bags, my husband grabbed two and my daughter grabbed the third and we were done!

Not only does the Grab Bag make life SO much easier, but it saves SO much time.  Carrying groceries into the house after shopping is something I completely dread…but not anymore!  I honestly think that everyone should own at least 4 Grab Bags – you will not look back! In addition to holding groceries, they can be used for so many other things (they would be great for hauling laundry!), and these would work great for going to the beach or park as well.
