I love, love, love for my house to smell amazing. You can almost always find a candle burning in my home, and a wonderful scent wafting through the air. I have tried the popular brands, and some I like more than others. Some are SO strong though, that they make me almost queasy. Not only does the scent have to be nice, but I want the appearance of the candles to be tasteful, to either match my decor, or compliment it.
When I heard about Yuthica candles, I knew I had to try them.
Why choose Yuthica candles?
These soy candles are all hand-poured in their New England studio. Each fragrance is custom blended to create a unique fragrance throw that is inviting and rich but not overwhelming. The Travelogue collection has been inspired by the markets of Marrakech, the sunsets of Santorini, and the beauty of Bordeaux. From Cabo to Tahiti, this collection has something for every traveler to enjoy.

Next was the hard part – choosing which two candles I wanted to review!
There are so many amazing scents to choose from (twelve!). With names such as Cabo, Maui, Milan,Tahiti (amongst others), how does one decide on only two? After much deliberation, I decided that I would like to try the Santorini and Florence scents.

I love citrus scents and that is probably why Santorini appealed to me so much. Notes include citron rind, sparkeling grapefruit and neroli:
An ancient island stepped in legend, Santorini is the birthplace of Atlantis and one of the most romantic destinations on earth. Introducing Santorini is a unique blend of sparkling grapefruit, citron-rind, green grass and coconut musk that like the island itself, will awaken your senses and stir your soul.
Oh my gosh is this scent nice! It is such a fresh and “upbeat” scent. Every time I burn this candle, I swoon each time I enter the house.

I also enjoy vanilla and musk, so Florence seemed like the perfect fit, with notes of tuberose vanilla musk and orange blossom:
An ancient treasure trove of art, architecture, fashion and cuisine. Florence (Firenze) has been leaving a lasting impression on visitors for centuries. Made from a blend of tuberose, vanilla musk, and a soft ozonic top-note, Florence is a fragrance as enticing and charming as the city that inspired it.
The nice folks at Yuthica also sent me a third candle – Mariquita (totally unexpected – thank you!). They really made a great choice. Mariquita has notes of litsea, lemongrass & geranium and is inspired by the gardens of Seville. It really is a refreshing and happy scent.

You can purchase Yuthica candles on the Yuthica website, and various retailers throughout the U.S.
