With summer officially well underway, many of us are dealing with the world of camp. While my own little ones are still too young for true summer camp, I can certainly reminisce on my own times spent there. Sending kids to camp often means a boatload of swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, sports, and just plain fun. I kind of miss my camping days and it makes me wonder… what if adults could go to summer camp?
Well… sound the alarm!
Summer Camp isn’t just marshmallows and make outs. It’s the ultimate battle of the sexes, and some of the guys are bound to fall prey to the ladies’ powers of persuasion.
The new USA Network’s reality show has read my mind. Summer Camp, this summer’s newest hit TV series, is sending sixteen strangers – eight men and eight women – back to camp! This group will come together on a beautiful lake retreat only to have to compete against one another in the battle of all battles – boys versus girls!
Meet the Campers!
No counselors. No rules. Just campers.
The contestants will face challenges inspired by real, classic summer camp games but, since we’re all adults here, they are upping the ante by putting an extreme spin on things.
These sixteen campers will not only be playing against one another but, in true reality show fashion, will also have to bunk with each other. There will be drama. There will be hookups. Tears will be shed and betrayals will happen. Elimination is inevitable. Through it all, however, these contestants will be fighting for a $250,000 prize! That’s certainly a better parting gift than I have ever received from camp!
So, do you think that you could handle it? Could you still rough it at summer camp as an adult? Could you fight until the finish to get your hands on the huge cash prize? With $250k up for grabs, who do you think will take home the prize – the girls or the guys?
Now, I’m a bit biased here because, well, for starters I’m rooting for the girls for obvious reasons. However, a friend of mine solidified the fact by starring on the show!
Pack your bags, get on the bus, and tune in TONIGHT at 8/7C to catch the premiere of Summer Camp. You can keep up with the show via social media on Facebook and Twitter, too. Be sure that you choose your team wisely. #TeamYellow is great eye candy but I’m definitely going with #TeamRed for the win!

Looks fun! I think I could handle going back to camp, but I’m sure the competition and challenges set forth for these people are tougher 😉
