Is Your Child Stuck on an Essay? 4 Ways You Can Help

“This isn’t working”, you hear your child say as she covers her face in frustration while the half-written college college essay lies on the table. You realize something is bothering your daughter and on talking to her, realize it’s the daunting college essay. It’s due soon and she cannot seem to make any progress. Anything she writes feels futile and not “good enough” and that is giving her sleepless nights!  Your child is clearly stressed, and you want to do everything to help. Is your child stuck on an essay? Here are 4 ways you can help

Brainstorm Together
Sometimes when one is stuck while writing, all they need is a little push from another person to get going. So, why not take some time out and indulge in a brainstorming session to come up with ideas that can help take your child’s essay forward.

Understand the essay topic and start putting down ideas together. You can make lists, mind maps and charts to put your thoughts together. Brainstorming is a useful method to get one’s creative juices flowing, and you will see that a little encouragement from your side is bound to get her motivated to think harder.

Help Them Step Away
When you are struggling to write an essay and nothing seems to be materializing, it is a good idea to take a break. However reluctant your child is to step away from writing the essay, you must encourage her to take a break.
Prepare her a good meal or take her out for a walk – all she needs now is a breather so she can come back to writing her essay with a fresh mind. Sometimes even sleeping it off does wonders. Next morning, she is likely to approach the essay in a calmer manner and do a better job at it.

Take Help
Not everyone can write a stellar essay and that is perfectly alright. If you child is unable to make progress on her essay or is unable to do justice to it given the shortage of time, why not take help from experts.
You can buy original and well-written essays from professionals and save your child the stress and anxiety. Ensure you outsource the job to a credible essay writing service and get an original, custom-written essay to suit your requirements. There’s even help to write a music college essay online.

Keep Distractions Away
Do you see your child checking her phone every five minutes while trying to write the essay? Maybe that’s one reason she is not able to make progress. Constantly chatting with her friends or watching a video on YouTube while writing the essay won’t help the situation.

Encourage her to keep distractions such as her phone and laptop away and she is sure to focus better. It is also a good idea to turn to productivity apps that will help her concentrate and manage her time well.
