J.R. Watkins Grapefruit Cleaning Products Review

I love J.R. Watkins Naturals! It was love at first sight, really–one day, I was in the cleaning products aisle at Target and noticed the beautifully designed bottles shelved next to the other natural cleaning products. I knew that this was my kind of brand. My mom always said not to judge a book by its cover, though, so I bought a bottle of toilet cleaner to test it out and make sure this stuff wasn’t all looks. Luckily, J.R. Watkins products are just as effective as they are eye-catching and I’ve been a big fan ever since.

I’ve reviewed J.R. Watkins on my own blog before, so when they contacted me to see if I wanted to try their new grapefruit-scented cleaning products, I immediately said yes. I love the smell of grapefruit and I was excited to try something different from my usual choice of lemon. (Is it just me, or is there something about citrus-y smells that just screams CLEAN?!) Here’s the low-down on each of the new grapefruit products:

Grapefruit All Purpose Cleaner

The reason I’m so enthusiastic about this brand is that J.R. Watkins products are both effective and natural. Before I ventured into the world of natural cleaning products, cleaning usually meant I’d get a headache or start feeling light-headed–I’m sensitive to the chemicals used in conventional cleaning products. With J.R. Watkins, cleaning is a little more fun and everything smells clean afterwards, instead of smelling like chemicals. And did I mention how much I love the graphic design on the bottles? (I did? Oh well, I’m going to mention it again!) I have the Grapefruit Liquid Soap in the guest bathroom and I’ve already gotten a few “I love that soap!” remarks. The dish soap works wonderfully too, but my favorite product from the grapefruit line is my new cleaning BFF, the All Purpose Cleaner. I use it on our granite countertops every evening after I’ve finished cooking, I wipe down the cooktop with it, I’ve cleaned the bathroom counters with it–I guess that’s why it’s called All Purpose, huh? I am definitely adding it to my regular cleaning product rotation.
