“Baby it’s cold outside” comes to mind each time Luv wants to ride her bike. I look out the window only to see the wind whipping branches and rain dripping down the pane. This is around the time of year we ease into a state of hibernation. Which means I need to boost my arsenal of indoor activities for her. Kiwi Crate has just the thing for us!
Creative activities, educational and fun projects can be delivered right to us! They offer a monthly subscription service as well as individual crate purchases in their Celebration Shop. They’ve even updated their crates with holiday themed projects.
I chose the Made By Me crate for Luv. She loves to send letters and make cards so I knew she would have fun making her own gifts. With the supplies provided, she made 2 decorative journals and 4 greeting cards. She can even design her own wrapping! I had to help her with the first step, which is print making.
I noticed after the first print, she had to push really hard to get her drawing to cut through the paint on the transparent sheet. I lended her a hand and traced her art with a little extra elbow grease.
After her prints were dry we simply attached them to cards or slipped them in the journals’ see-through pouches. It was such a fun project and she did a great job!
The Gifts Made By Me crate is $19.95, as well as the Crafty Christmas and Handmade Hanukkah crates. Each is sure to spark your child’s creativity and encourage hands-on fun… and you can’t go wrong with that!
